Transfer Portal Options and potential destinations:

125/133: Richie Figs - Not sure if he will be given a medical RS, but needs a revitalizer. Think something a move back home, CSU Bakersfield or Oregon State perhaps, if he gets another year.

133/141: Braeden Davis - Minnesota would seem a good fit I think. Iowa might go in for him though.

141: Tagen Jamison - Think he'll stay around that area of the country. Missouri could be a good fit.

157: Gavin Drexler - Wisconsin maybe?

165: Hunter Garvin - Iowa.

184: Caleb Campos - Love the idea of UNC continuing to grow, getting him for 1-year.

197: Branson John - This could be a pickup for Iowa, but may not be a smart one. Michigan is another option.

197: Justin Rademacher - Unfortunate loss for Oregon State, but I imagine he's very upset not being an AA. This is the guy Iowa SHOULD go for, I think a better fit for him though would be NC State or Ohio State.

I doubt UNC goes for Campos. Jake Dailey was the 8 seed as a freshman.

I doubt Figs comes back

I’d love Branson John at Michigan

Lineup issue guys:

Connor Pierce: I would expect to leave I think he will have his PSU degree at the end of the year and he has the ability to find himself on the podium with one year left.

Swiderski: Do not really think he leaves seems like a great fit there but with a lot of uncertainty about Sergio/Jax weight wise and Raney coming in and David seemingly wanting to put his best team out there at all times he feels like potentially the odd man out. Oh also healthy Tagen.

Ayden Smith: He had a very good year, Knox is coming in I am not sure if he has the ability to redshirt, I think it depends on if he enrolled second semester or not.

Matthew lopes: he is very good, and with Crookham coming back and Stanich at 141 I do not see a world where he makes the linup I think he has outgrown 125 (if I am incorrect about this watch out for him)

Desmond: Obvious talent and logjam but they can shuffle to get him in the lineup this year if they want to RS Marcus and Davis.

Noah Ninninger: Could make jumps like he did every year for as long as I've followed him but no clear path in the lineup at V-tech and I would selfishly like to see him on the mat.

Poached guys:

Nicco Ruiz: always had the talent and finally put it all together this year. Feels like an easy fill in for Caliendo.

Caleb Campos: feels like a Lennox wolak but with less of a body of work and I would be extremely hesitant to pay him big money if I were a school with the means to do so. Incredible story this year though and very happy for him.

Carter Nogle: Good in high school not great. I sort of thought he just caught fire at NCAA's and got a fortunate draw, however I would urge you to watch his match with Stanich this kid freaking scraps.

Guys that may need new scenery (sorry cornell fans)

Meyer: Painful to see the attitude/mindset and gas tank not match the ability

Joy: Probably too presumptuous for a freshman but that was a bad NCAA's

Larkin Bros: Do not really think they leave but I would love to see them join their Valiant teammates at either Iowa state or UNI.

Truzz:

Meza and Castillo are at isu….Anderson has another yr of hs before he heads to UNI.

When Valencia transfers to Iowa, and gets 5th next year I’ll be very annoyed. (Block goes 57)

You can't give up a Stanford education to go to Iowa. If he had a degree, that would be different.

Did Real Woods earn a degree at Stanford before going to Iowa?

Just realized Kasak wrestled zero matches this year…are we sure he stays in State College?

He went to 1 or 2 international freestyle tournaments in October or November. And the NYAC tournament(I think).

We might see him at at ranking series #3 and #4. Definitely expect to see him at 70kg at the US Open.

tOSU will be fine at 141 (Mendez was 141, not 149).  They have a future problem at the lower classes with too many guys.  At 125/133 they have:  Booz, Kilkeary, McCrone, Davino, and two blue chip recruits in Mills, and Munaretta.   Maybe Bouzakis gets to go from a diet of protein infused chicken broth to burgers and ice cream.  He deserves it.

tOSU has the biggest problem higher up.  Birden will fill one spot of the two at 165/174.   They could put Birden at 174 (he needs a few hamburgers anyway) and Deselle goes 165.  They are at risk of losing one or two guys at 197 as they have Shumate, Geog, and Rogtzke.

I agree. I think they can sort it out from 125 to 141 with the guys the already have.

The hole is at 174. Rumors of Hunter Garvin graduating. Maybe he moves up. Kody Routledge is getting squeezed out of the OK State lineup. Maybe he can go up. EJ Parco may not fit in Stanford lineup if nobody leaves.

Maybe Birden can go up and Sealey can go 165. Sealey has no future in the Penn State lineup. I'd like to see him at 157 at UNC Chapel Hill.

There's been surprises in the portal past few years. Hard to predict, but nothing is ever obvious. Hard to speculate outside grad transfers.

You can dream, but don't foresee that a possibility! Feel like this has Iowa written all over it.

It's almost too perfect.

He has two years. 2025 he was hurt first semester and met all criteria to get a med year.  This year he didn't  compete until second semester, which is when he got hurt again, but it was during second semester which is one of the criteria. Unless they are able to pull something off despite the second semester injury, he is getting two years.

That is a perfect prediction.

However, for Crookham's sake, I am hoping he gets two very healthy years, which is why he needs to go to somewhere else. The crazy is starting and the buffet is about to open.

Crookham is such a high risk/ high reward scenario.

He's shown that he's upper echelon and easily a title contender, but he loves to rubber knee and that's probably the source of his issues. He could either place top three or injury out of the season it's a toss up. I don't know which program would want to throw buckets of money towards that
