Franek had his best finish ever at Iowa and you said he went down.  I’m still confused.

4th at NDSU then 8th the next year at Iowa

I know the actual numbers

Maybe not use the words "minimum" and " at least" when throwing out numbers if you want people to believe you know the actual numbers. And no it's not normal for non AA wrestlers to get 250k-300k in the portal.

Caliendo, Buchanan and Woods went up...

Did I miss anyone?

I mean, not even everyone that goes to Penn St does better lol but you did miss alot of the iowa guys that got better yes... Metcalf,  DeSantos, Eierman,  just to name a few.... but lets talk Truax,  Hildebrandt,  Nagao,  Dean (who went from 2nd at Cornell to 1st at Penn st to 7th at Penn st) , among others..  Teske did better at Iowa then at Penn st... so do you really think these programs just hit it out of the park with 1 guy and fail with another and its just souly on the program...

Wrong. Minimum is a starting point for negotiation. You are old and its showing.

If I’m Ohio State I’m doing whatever I can possibly do and whatever it would realistically take to try and convince Luke Stanich to come to Columbus and take over Mendez’s spot at 149.

There is no lineup room at OSU or PSU, but there is at tOSU. There is always room at Iowa but Stanich doesn’t come across to me as an Iowa/Brands type.

tOSU will be fine at 141 (Mendez was 141, not 149).  They have a future problem at the lower classes with too many guys.  At 125/133 they have:  Booz, Kilkeary, McCrone, Davino, and two blue chip recruits in Mills, and Munaretta.   Maybe Bouzakis gets to go from a diet of protein infused chicken broth to burgers and ice cream.  He deserves it.

tOSU has the biggest problem higher up.  Birden will fill one spot of the two at 165/174.   They could put Birden at 174 (he needs a few hamburgers anyway) and Deselle goes 165.  They are at risk of losing one or two guys at 197 as they have Shumate, Geog, and Rogtzke.

Agree on Angelo, don’t think he’s going anywhere.

Alvan is out of eligibility

I'm not 100% sure on Alvan. No postseason as a freshman.  Did three postseasons total.  His last match he wrestled as a first year was on Feb. 11.  With the way they hand out med shirts these days, he might be able to finagle a decent payday from an Iowa or Michigan. (How is Michigan looking at 165 next year?)

I don’t think Gilcher is bad. Like I think he’s a NQ next year. I’d be down to improve there but it’s not a hole like 25. I’d be curious if they like Botero there and how he’d do. Maybe askikyan

I don't think Gilcher's bad either.  There's def room for improvement. Botero to me is a 25 all day.  Henry could factor in if he's ready.  Going to be an exciting off season.

He already said post ncaa he’s out of eligibility and will continue wrestling freestyle for Brazil I think

Garvin has been heavy rumored to Michigan for a long time.

Then it was made known that the Mantanona brothers were going 174/184 and Bullock also transferred out.  The Garvin whispers died down a bit.

Doesn’t mean Garvin isn't leaving, but I rather doubt it would actually be Michigan, if so.  I am just stirring the pot.

Corby posted yesterday on the Penn state and Iowa forum that Iowa state was recruiting all weekend at ncaas and already have Cardanes, Garvin, Norman and Novak lined up to poach the second the portal opens

His last wrestling match as a freshman was on Feb 11th of 2022.  Definitely out of Ivy eligibility, but if he could finagle a medical redshirt for 2022, it could be a big payday.

Plus #11 overall recruit Waters that probably projects there and Fishback prevents anyone from cutting down. I'd be surprised if more than one of Shumate, Geog, Rogotzke stick around.

Botero is absolutely a 25 all day, but man you gotta consider the mental side this year took on the kid. I felt for him, undersized and throw into the fire.

Garvin to Michigan?

Those are the three I think, at least.

Garvin, Swiderski, Davis

You've been saying Garvin to Michigan for three straight years now.  You may finally be right this time now that he has his Stanford degree.

Really Interested to see what VT does.

I know its been spoken, but with Bassett coming in, Henson, Ventresca, Seidel, Gaj etc. coming back. I'd say they have a legit shot at 2nd next year......Especially if Miller pulls a Jax.

Do they have anything left over to offer a transfer or 2?

Getting Stanich would be huge, training with Mendez, Stieber, Jaggers would definitely be enticing...

It's not NYC or Ivy League, but Nebraska has 2 Brazillian world teamers (LJ Araujo and Marco Christiansen) and an "honorary Brazillian" in Hardy...maybe he pursues training in Lincoln?

His interview seems like he’s alll in on Pritzlaff, in his flo interview he says when rumors starting swirling Pritzlaff was interested in the job Alven tracked down his number and called him and told him he should take the job and he wouldn’t regret it and he’d never met Pritzlaff in his life. He also said he trains with Rivera every single day so I think he’s staying in NYC

Swiderski as well.

I really think Michigan does a good job of bringing in high character kids, plus academically, it is a bit more selective on admissions.  I don't see either Davis or Swiderski fitting in to the program culture wise.

Lineup issue guys:

Connor Pierce: I would expect to leave I think he will have his PSU degree at the end of the year and he has the ability to find himself on the podium with one year left.

Swiderski: Do not really think he leaves seems like a great fit there but with a lot of uncertainty about Sergio/Jax weight wise and Raney coming in and David seemingly wanting to put his best team out there at all times he feels like potentially the odd man out. Oh also healthy Tagen.

Ayden Smith: He had a very good year, Knox is coming in I am not sure if he has the ability to redshirt, I think it depends on if he enrolled second semester or not.

Matthew lopes: he is very good, and with Crookham coming back and Stanich at 141 I do not see a world where he makes the linup I think he has outgrown 125 (if I am incorrect about this watch out for him)

Desmond: Obvious talent and logjam but they can shuffle to get him in the lineup this year if they want to RS Marcus and Davis.

Noah Ninninger: Could make jumps like he did every year for as long as I've followed him but no clear path in the lineup at V-tech and I would selfishly like to see him on the mat.

Poached guys:

Nicco Ruiz: always had the talent and finally put it all together this year. Feels like an easy fill in for Caliendo.

Caleb Campos: feels like a Lennox wolak but with less of a body of work and I would be extremely hesitant to pay him big money if I were a school with the means to do so. Incredible story this year though and very happy for him.

Carter Nogle: Good in high school not great. I sort of thought he just caught fire at NCAA's and got a fortunate draw, however I would urge you to watch his match with Stanich this kid freaking scraps.

Guys that may need new scenery (sorry cornell fans)

Meyer: Painful to see the attitude/mindset and gas tank not match the ability

Joy: Probably too presumptuous for a freshman but that was a bad NCAA's

Larkin Bros: Do not really think they leave but I would love to see them join their Valiant teammates at either Iowa state or UNI.

There is NO WAY Nogle is going anywhere.  Wrestling ends and there is not a single NIL offer that can make up the career earning potential of graduating from a Service Academy.  Nogle's brother chose Harvard, and Nogle chose Air Force Academy.  Smart kids with their eyes on the BIG PICTURE.

What was their pitch? Come to Aimes, cut too much weight, get injured before NCAA's, go 1-2?

You said you have actual numbers on Real Woods, but then you said it was 250k minimum and that is was a starting point of negotiations. So do you have the actual numbers or not? Show us the receipts of your "actual numbers" that you know. While at it, show us the receipts of "actual numbers" you have of non-AA kids (not high schoolers coming in) who have transferred to other schools that are getting 250k-300k in NIL. Ethan Stiles, a returning 6th place AA with 3 years left got 75k from Ohio State. Are you telling us that non-AA are getting 4x the amount of Stiles on a regular basis? Here is my receipt:

I didn't miss anyone... I was responding to a post that specifically cited ASU, NDSU, Little Rock and Wyoming. As I mentioned earlier,  I did add Peterson not from those schools who broke even. I was specifically responding to guys who transferred in from those specific schools who were labeled as "minor leagues" for Iowa which is why I didn't go into Penn State.
