This is a good and appreciated topic. Some of us have tried this many times over. Sharing information about us... creating non-political topics... I've tried additional tactics Recognizing the best (and worst) members based comment reactions given and received Suggesting forum rules and more moderators to enforce forum rules Having AI complete personality assessments based on members last 200 comments These facts are why its hard 30% of men admit to trolling online https://www.bustle.com/articles/45430-online-trolling-statistics-reveal-almost-one-third-of-millennial-americans-admit-to-being-internet-trolls 68% of people will situationally troll when they are exposed to others that troll or read something that offends them. https://news.stanford.edu/stories/2017/02/stanford-research-shows-anyone-can-become-internet-troll It's understandable how this occurs when someone says something you disagree with. Case in point below: Your call for a kinder forum is appreciated, but your post accusing someone of being a ‘caveman’ and ‘bigot’ seems to contradict that goal. I’m not saying this as a “gotcha”... it’s an example of how hard it can be to stay civil. How can we all share our views more constructively to meet your goal? It's probably more important for the 'reader' to ask clarifying questions before they 'assume' the worst intent and attack the poster based on their often-wrong assumptions.

Not really a political hit piece, the film comes.at Jordan directly, but thru the stories of the victims. I would guess at least a couple of the victims agree with his politics based on the way they described themselves (not all), but they ascribed Jordan's shortcomings to him, not the GOP (as they should in this context).

They believe there is a chance he has some eligibility left, how? I don't know. There is a chance he has a minimum of a year left, maybe 2.

Very difficult question requires medical knowledge, is there some time horizon, hill to get over, at which point we should drastically more or less optimistic? How long do people last in this condition?

Probably because the entire incident is on camera with dozens of witnesses and he very clearly did not assault an ICE officer. -

Does anyone commit before the official home visit date for this class. That date is 8/4. It is usually 8/1 but there is a dead period during the NWCA Conference so it is a little back this year. No visits can happen pre 8/4 I think, that is kids visiting a campus as well. Seems to me kids would need to be pretty familiar with a campus and staff, IE they did a prospect camp or a training camp there. I would think a kid like Miller may be in a situation like this because of Bassett being on Iowa's campus for training prior. I would think the same thing for Villasenor bc of proximity to campus in Stilly as well or Hayden S because his dad is the coach, obv. Other than that maybe another one of the iowa kids because they have been in around the camp scene at those schools more, IDK spitballing here. -
What’s the Best Piece of Advice You’ve Ever Received?

A practical truth spoken over centuries... Le mieux est l'ennemi du bien - Voltaire 1770 Le mieux est le mortel ennemi du bien - Montesquieu 1726 Striving to better, oft we mar what's well - Shakesphere 1606 To go too far is as bad as to fall short - Confucius 5th Century BCE The phrase “done is better than perfect” is clear and self-evident, promoting action and completion over the paralyzing pursuit of flawlessness, a principle of moderation that needs no further context to be understood. Absolutist dismissal of ‘done is better than perfect’ under any circumstance borders on trollish behavior. -
Indeed... because Dan G is a bit "long in the tooth?" (Besides... I sure his hip and knee replacements couldn't withstand Sad's a leg attacks. OUCH! ) D3

Senator Mike Lee mocks Minnesota assassinations...

Don’t want to steal his thunder but didn’t vak find this? CNN published this in 2012 Liberals want Obama to be a king, not a president What’s clear is that the liberals speaking out don’t want a president, they want a king. Albeit a liberal king – but still a king, who would be unrestrained by Congress as well as the checks and balances enshrined in our Constitution. These disenchanted liberals apparently wanted Obama – upon taking office – to have instantly transformed every campaign promise into law by the simple wave of a pen. Or maybe they would have preferred Obama to have walked out onto a White House balcony where, in a scene reminiscent of the musical “Evita,” he would be greeted by adoring throngs waiting below, and on the spot, declare that all his ideas were now the law of the land.

I'm unfamiliar with the situation but I'm curious as to how could Ortega gain a year of eligibility.

That is not his district anymore. It changed for the 2022 election. Now it has a more reasonable shape. Setting that aside I doubt it was ever gerrymandered to keep him in power. Gerrymandering done most effectively will typically try and put likely voters for the opposing party in a few "safe" districts and divide the rest of the state such that they are close, but with an edge for the party drawing the lines. It wouldn't make sense for Republicans to draw the lines to give Jordan a better chance of winning. Jordan has won every election by at least ~20% points over his Dem rival. It would make more sense for Republicans to draw his district in a convoluted way to include more likely Democratic voters so he only wins by 5-10% and the Republicans can make one of the 5 seats held by Democrats more competitive. The last election (2020) under the old districts Republicans had a 12-4 majority. Currently they only have a 10-5 majority. So it is ostensibly less gerrymandered in favour of republicans and Jordan is still winning by 35-40 points. Republicans would have been the ones drawing the lines in both 2011 and 2021.

We've made it through five editions of Final X. The most recent one might have been one of the most memorable. In our Final X record book, we documented how 2025's event featured the highest-scoring match in the history of the event and five of the top-six highest scoring individual matches. Additionally, it also featured the highest scoring two-match and three-match series'. For a refresher on past editions of Final X, we've included all of the results from the four previous ones - plus 2025. 2025 2023 2022 2019 2018

The last thing I would point out. Dresser needs to be careful that there is not a Cuban vs American's stand off in there. I won't go into a ton of details, as I was previously white-knighted here for sharing too many details. However, I will say that Ech's brother is a significant source of friction in there. Osmany wanting to be treated like a prima donna is another one. Dresser doesn't stand for it, and rips Osmany, but it isn't like he is an 18 year old kid. We will see. I am pulling for them, I think Dresser is one of the best out there and they have a great group of donors.

Sweet baby Jesus you are a crazy one. I am not bitter that Seth Gross left. Quite the opposite - I thought it was a good idea that he left, was happy to see his career take off, and I have been a huge fan since, going so far as to promote his YouTube channel on here multiple times. All I said, in response to a question by another poster, was that I heard and read from multiple sources, including Tom Brands, that there was a road back for Seth but for whatever reason it didn't take. Nowhere was there negativity or malicious intent, that was all your projection. Get help. Or at least learn to read the words that are written instead of infusing them with nonsense that isn't there.
