Ankle picks have been Lee's weakness before. He lost to Sebastian Rivera like that. And if anyone is as motionless as Lee was on the feet, they can get blast doubled. Harutanyan picked his attacks well and executed them well. It was more about Harutanyan winning than Lee losing. Harutanyan lost to the champ next round by a hail mary. I gotta admit Harutanyan deserved it. Would love to see a rematch after Lee has watched the video. Freestyle is less predictable. Even the pound for pound best rarely have repeated gold back to back years. Also Spencer is better at folkstyle. People remember his domination in college partially when they think of how good he is. He's not quite at home with freestyle. Not like the top international wrestlers.

I think everything you said could be true. I am for whatever reason just a little high on Robideau's ceiling versus how much more improvement we'll see from Kasak. I honestly think Ryder's ceiling is a little bit unknown at this point, and I question why PSU would bring in Welsh (it obviously wasn't for free) if they thought Ryder had the higher ceiling. And lastly, I have no doubts about the heights that Ross can/will likely reach, but I don't know that he is going to be that guy as a true freshman. Gable was arguably the greatest heavyweight recruit of all time and lost to Anthony Cassar twice. I don't think Ross is Gable Steveson, and I think it may take a bit of time and filling out his frame before he really shows how great he can be.

Dreshaun will be a true freshman, and Cole will be in his third season in the PSU room. I have very, very, high hopes for Ross, but I don't know if he's going to be physically mature enough as a true freshman at this point to beat Mirasola. I think Dreshaun (especially as a true freshman) my go through some growing pains getting used to wrestling guys that have been competing at D1 HWT for multiple years.

My main thought was that Blaze will have already spent an entire college season in the PSU room, while Jax will be a true freshman. Also, Joey Blaze is bumping up this year, so I think it's likely that his brother would follow the same pattern. Obviously I could be completely wrong.. just my guess. I'd personally be surprised if we ever see Marcus at 57kg again, but who knows.

You can re-test(could... last I knew) and someone may have "certified" at 167 and they re-test at 164.5 and can go 165... but if you could cut a whole weight after certifying, it's not really certifying...right? That's the weight they weighed during the certification? That also just doesn't make sense to me. You'd have guys making weight for no reason. Ragusin and everyone is already down to weight long before they have to actually make weight? That's pretty unusual.

No. It's what they weighed during yhe certification weight. Some schools get them down to weight for it, others don't.

Yeah... I understood who you were directing it at. I heard a story years ago about this Gentlemen who named his Son Sue... and he did it to make sure his son grew up to be tough... so maybe there's more logic behind it? Or maybe... definitely they're are just morans out there.

Nebraska is pretty well known for it's Atmosphere at it's Football games. Nebraska would make the most sense. They're a good program but not really one that contends for NC's(I know where they placed last year, this isn't an insult, it's really just 2-3 programs that have in the last~20 years). Bo said he wanted to... basically go to a program and elevate them. I'm paraphrasing, but that was it effectively. He wanted to really put his mark on a program. If he goes to Iowa... maybe he helps return them to glory, but he's not "the guy," who did it. PSU... he's just one of many greats. And that's cool. They get PJ Duke's for a reason. I was of the impression that was the weight they qualified for. I wouldn't think they'd all be down to their weights for the qualification.
