Something to keep an eye on: the NCAA and power conferences have actively lobbied Congress to codify a federal NIL framework, which brings us to the SCORE Act (HR 4312). The proposed legislation would: Prohibit schools from charging mandatory student fees to subsidize athletics programs and NIL (e.g., Cleveland State's $90/yr "save wrestling" tuition fee, Clemson's $150 athletics fee, portions of Fresno State's $495 instructional activities fee; but not "talent fees" and similar add-ons that are tacked onto season ticket sales) Require agents to register and carry a license, and caps their compensation at 5% of the athlete's NIL contract Require schools to cover all medical expenses for athletic injuries for at least 3 years after they graduate or leave school, and provide academic, career counseling, and financial assistance if they decide to return to college Keep the FBS 16 sport minimum (with at least 8 women's sports), applicable to any program with a coach that earns more than $250k/yr Block athletes from being classified as employees of the university based on their participation in sports Go back to the one-time transfer rule; multiple transfers still be allowed but the athlete would have to sit the season out Grant the NCAA, conferences, and programs an antitrust exemption, as long as they comply with the SCORE framework, mitigating further lawsuits based on anticompetitive practices So, a mix of good and questionable rules. The bill is still making its way through committee (current draft is here, for the legislative masochists) so who knows how it might be amended or modified, but I think expectations for now are that it'll pass the House and be a cointoss in the Senate.

Gavin is tying to politically rebrand himself as someone who has not made Cali more horrible or worse than when he got there to make a political run for president. All politicians do this eventually but you shouldn’t think of it other than that.

Ziola is going to RS at Nebraska next season and will wrestle HWT from day 1 on campus.

I know it’s going to be automatically dismissed on here by some because of who the guest is and what they’ve been told to think, but for anyone who enjoys just sitting back open minded and listen to two people talk and share information, this is a really good listen. Gavin Newsome on Shawn Ryan show.

Kind've my point. If stopped for speeding and have 5 of a 6 pack in the rear seat along with a duffle bag full of hand guns they are probably going to haul you in not just give a ticket and on your way.

I will grant you that different environments have different norms. That said, a quick internet search finds that 44% of Americans own at least one firearm of some sort. Of that 44%, 33% own (at least one) handgun. That gets us down to 14% (44% x 33% = 14%) of Americans own at least one handgun. God knows how many own multiple handguns, but 14% own at least one. How many people keep that handgun in their car? I have no idea, but it is likely significantly less than the 14% already identified. I am just saying that those of you who pack-n-carry (any gun, much less multiple guns) are the outlier - NOT the norm in America.

How do we know it was a woman? This sounds like a case for SCOTUS. -
It’s cool ya. No worries boss.

He would have also probably been in a lot of trouble if he had imbibed any amount of alcohol, and likely if there was an open container within reach. (I am not 100% knowledgeable about PA gun laws, but I do know them in my state). It isn't necessarily that its "just weed," any substance would have gotten him into a lot of trouble at that point. Also, I think PA may be particular about the method of THC delivery.

No problem.

Yes. I thought he would have wrestled for a medal in the Olympics if Brooks didn't successfully appeal his first positive test. (operating under the belief that DT was done) -
Weird @GreatWhiteNorth FIFA does not give the original Club World Cup trophy to the winning team—instead, clubs receive a high-quality replica to keep permanently. What happens to the trophy? FIFA unveiled a new gold‑plated Club World Cup Trophy for the 2025 tournament, crafted with Tiffany & Co., valued at around US $230,000, featuring intricate engravings and innovative design features The original trophy is usually but not always retained by FIFA
