Killer sought out gun-free zones. “Another mass shooter has struck and the media is again refusing to say why he chose his target. Like other killers, he openly admitted that he sought out “gun-free zones.” Yet mainstream outlets refuse to acknowledge it—and thereby ignore a policy solution that could save children’s lives. The Annunciation Catholic School shooter in Minneapolis spelled it out in his manifesto: “I recently heard a rumor that James Holmes, the Aurora theater shooter, may have chosen venues that were ‘gun-free zones.’ I would probably aim the same way. . . . Holmes wanted to make sure his victims would be unarmed. That’s why I and many others like schools so much. At least for me, I am focused on them. Adam Lanza is my reason.” (Lanza committed a mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.)” -Wall Street Journal https://t.co/kbDIx3x0VF

I don’t believe there is any indication the shooter did anything but change names and grow long hair

I think we are also missing at least one "get back" coach. -

I was also referring to the 8-8 criteria win over Zepeda that I referenced earlier. Admittedly, the OP backed off a little, but that's where the "win is a win" sentiment was initially expressed. I had made the point that it might be a little early to talk about Stanich being a contender when he is squeaking out a win over a high school wrestler who may not be a starter at NC State this year (but I'm really hoping pans out over the long run).

My point isn't that he changed his mind it's that this was always mental illness. When he started down this path he should have been getting help. The suicide rate is so incredibly high among trans people that it's impossible to argue otherwise. Destroying body chemistry and trying to create something beyond human control will never end well.

C’mon, those picks aren’t that bad. What would you change? Tomasello over Ramos maybe but I see that as a toss up. I’d lower my confidence in Yianni but still pick him. Other than pretty good if you ask me. -

You don't feel safe if you are not safe. They keep saying they want people to feel safe. Well, that doesn't happen until they are safe. If crime is high, people are not safe and they will not feel safe. If real crime is low, people are safe and they will feel safe. There is no way people will feel safe when the crime is high, not because they are unwilling to delude themselves, but that they are not, in fact, safe. mspart

So much explained in two words. -
In the 2001 bracket at 141 there were two Mike Castillo's. One wrestled for Michigan State and one wrestled for Illinois. For symmetry purposes, they both lost in the round of 16, and neither AA'd that year. Being Big Ten wrestlers, I had to know if they ever went head-to-head. Not only did they, of course the pair went to two overtimes. There could be no other way. From the Illinois website: https://fightingillini.com/news/2001/1/27/No_5_Illinois_Wrestling_Upset_By_No_8_Michigan_State_16_15.aspx "Mike Castillo of Illinois gave the Illini a 12-10 lead by defeated Mike Castillo of Michigan State 8-5 in two overtimes. After being tied 3-3 after the second period, Castillo of the Spartans got an escape followed by an Illinois takedown. A late Spartan escape sent the bout into overtime. There was no scoring in the first overtime, but the second overtime won the match for the Illini's Castillo by gaining three near-fall points." 141 Mike Castillo (ILL) defeated No. 16 Mike Castillo (MSU), 8-5 (2ot)
