I stand corrected. Those are some odd takes. I am not sure how you can argue against his genius. And I am not saying that he knows how to build a rocket, write code, or make electric cars. I do not think he knows any of that. But he sure knows how to build companies that do those things.

We like free things. Congress likes to give free things. We vote into Congress the people that will give us free things. What we fail to remember is that there is no such thing as free things. It is illusionary until the piper has to be paid. And the piper always has to be paid, one way or another. And it will be the poor people that wanted free things that will pay the most in pain and suffering. mspart

"Admittedly on shaky ground" is a really nice way to put it. We may be too far gone under the current structure our federal government is operating under. I really don't see a realistic way to get the ship heading in the right direction under the current structure that is in place.

Is this known as a FACT that person A was the same as person B? If so, then I would expect that the treatment would be more like B as this fact was shown to be a fact and knowledge spread …. but I see this as an untenable hypothetical. Particularly due to person B’s long history and behavior. I would expect that it is more like the hopes of someone that is reveling in the demise of person A. -
Vastly superior job. You have got to be joking. No one in Washington has done a vastly Superior Job when it comes to cutting spending and the balancing the budget. 37 trillion dollars in debt. The interest on the debt is 1 trillion dollars a year and growing. During the time i read your post and wrote my post the debt went up 7 million dollars.

Did you watch 2017 Worlds?

I believe they investigate and track all charges and allegations of abuse or misconduct for athletes under its jurisdiction. If the misconduct involves physical abuse, trafficking, minors, substance abuse, or a pattern of behavior (or something else) that puts the safety of the sport or its participants at risk, SafeSport can suspend or revoke an athlete from competing or representing the US Olympic Team, National Governing Body, or local affiliates

When does Part III come out? I can't wait!

For people questioning line-up fit, the answer seems pretty simple. Not all of these stud recruits are going to be starters. Do you think PSU was wondering how to get Facundo and Nagao into the line-up this year? No, Facundo and Nagao were trying to figure out how to get themselves in the line-up. When you have 2 or 3 very good wrestlers at a weight, it's a good thing for your team. Who cares if it's Villasenor, Ramirez, or Raney at 125 in two years? You know whoever is your starter is going to be an absolute hammer.

Snyder will always be a laughingstock.
-
Someone mentioned in the megathread that Snyder would likely be charged with a 3rd degree misdemeanor rather than a felony for his first offense, unless there's an aggravating factor. The temporary suspension by SafeSport is standard procedure while they investigate the matter and consider the seriousness of the offense. Engaging in the solicitation of prostitution is a SafeSport Code violation, but they will determine its severity and whether Snyder's continued participation in wrestling would be a safety risk or harmful to others in the sport or USAW's stakeholders. He seems to have a pretty clean record and appears to be cooperating and taking accountability, so I would bet that he gets a written warning and probation from SafeSport. No idea if USAW would impose its own sanctions.

I don’t see many people cheering and celebrating with glee about this. Mostly just rightfully calling out his hypocrisy. It’s overall not good for the sport of wrestling as a whole, an Olympic Gold medalist getting arrested, especially one that had been previously thought to be a model citizen.

Obama took our debt from $10 trillion to $20 trillion. It’s a fact. Right ?
-
It has nothing to do with what’s in the link. YOU listed the bank bailout as an excuse for why Dems had a high deficit under Obama yet completely ignored the fact that Covid nearly doubled Trumps deficit number.
-
What if Person A was the same as Person B, just better at hiding it and going to great lengths to condone such hypocritical behavior?

In your framing, does it matter how long Person A has been doing "something bad" without anyone knowing? Does that change your calculus? Or does it only matter what is on the surface and in the public eye?
