If somebody is going to commit a crime, that isn't a consideration. Also a dog isn't going to deter a lot of people. It's more of a psychological thing.

I like the idea pulling in the MMA stars to help cross-sell with that fan base, but I don't think there's anyone out there that wants to see Sonnen and Ortiz on the mat again. Even putting Ortiz on the mic seems like a mistake, as it makes the whole event look unserious -- especially to MMA fans, who know Ortiz was put to pasture by the UFC over a decade ago.

Population density. With population density you have a number of factors. The more people you have, the more people you are likely to have that are willing to commit crimes. Just a matter of numbers. Hiding in plain sight. If you have three people in a group, and one of them is f***ing up, that person is more likely to be seen than if they are 1 in a group of 100. The idea you are less likely to get ‘caught’ will make some more willing to try to take the short route. More targets. If you don’t want to earn living and would rather rob people, are you going to choose a location that has 50,000 targets to choose from, or a compacted location that has five million?
