Should Bo Nickal retire from MMA?
Jimmy Cinnabon replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
I mean he basically can't a hit. That's pretty much required to be a fighter. -

To be fair. He is approaching his peak age relative to the ufc. The avg age for a first time champ is around 29 years old. Bo is 29 and had been at this for let’s say 4-7 years. Not sure the right # there. the eye test says he’s a mile from being a top 5 contender. on the flip side I’m not saying he should retire. I wouldn’t mind see him shovel some humble pie a few more times before slipping out of the lime light. problem is now that the secret is out of the bag. Juicy odds to bet against him will no longer be this lucrative.

That's actually pretty funny. I can't imagine any of the teams better than OU wanting those guys.
-
if he can make slight improvements year over year for the next few years he will probably stumble into the top 5 simply because 185 is a very old division that is not really budding with new talent.

Trump doesn't know if he's supposed to uphold the constitution
mspart replied to Tripnsweep's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
The discussion was regarding deporting illegal aliens. When the question of the constitution came up this is the context and why he responded that if they had to do millions of jury hearings, that would be too expensive. KRISTEN WELKER: Your secretary of state says everyone who’s here, citizens and non-citizens, deserve due process. Do you agree, Mr. President? PRES. DONALD TRUMP: I don’t know. I’m not, I’m not a lawyer. I don’t know. KRISTEN WELKER: Well, the Fifth Amendment says as much. PRES. DONALD TRUMP: I don’t know. It seems — it might say that, but if you’re talking about that, then we’d have to have a million or 2 million or 3 million trials. We have thousands of people that are some murderers and some drug dealers and some of the worst people on Earth. KRISTEN WELKER: But is — PRES. DONALD TRUMP: Some of the worst, most dangerous people on Earth. And I was elected to get them the hell out of here and the courts are holding me from doing it. KRISTEN WELKER: But even given those numbers that you’re talking about, don’t you need to uphold the Constitution of the United States as president? PRES. DONALD TRUMP: I don’t know. I have to respond by saying, again, I have brilliant lawyers that work for me, and they are going to obviously follow what the Supreme Court said. What you said is not what I heard the Supreme Court said. They have a different interpretation. The question was about due process and the constitutional guarantee of due process. Due process does not mean a jury trial in the case of immigration. An immigration judge stating the illegal needs to be deported is due process. It's best to understand things based on context. The context is due process in deporting illegals. The context is not the Constitution which everyone is trying to make this. The next question is why is the press and the left willing to die on the Abrego hill? If he does come back, he will just be deported again. The conditions of his "stay in the US for free card" are not the same as they were in 2019 and he could easily be deported with those details brought before an immigration judge. The man was transporting illegals using his boss's car with no license to drive. And the boss is in jail for transporting illegals. Put 2 and 2 together folks on Abrego. But the questioning that has everyone all jittery was all about the treatment of illegal aliens. You'll notice that no one is talking about the child citizens who were deported anymore. Because it was a non story. Mom was being deported and wanted her children to come with her. Period, end of story. No apologies for not investigating more and figuring that out on their own, the press is completely out of control on their non investigative approach to reporting news. This is very much the case. Take a quote out of context and run with it to show the Pres does not feel he has to follow the Constitution in any case whatsoever. mspart -
It would be a bit rash to retire after one loss wouldn't it? It wasn't as if he was knocked out in 5 seconds like Askren. I think we'll see Bo continue MMA for awhile.

Melvin to tOSU would be nice...
-
@BobDole's Zoo would be great ... impossible to escape ... just ask @PortaJohn
-
I LOVED that Askren/Masvidal result Askren running his loud, disrespectful mouth. He got shut up REAL fast once the fight was on.
-
Yeah, liver shot
-
Can the seeding committee do us a favor and just match up Blaze and Bassett round 1.
-
Mickey knew what was up
-
I think he'll go one more time. If he loses, that may be it. If he loses, that hurts physically and emotionally and that is something he is not used to. He took some heavy knees, bad defense. Like I could do better ha ha. mspart

Its an exhibition bro!

the crisis is the 'deep state' taking control of the policies that depts use they write laws... btw, stop gaslighting us. your thread title has nothing to do with what trump said. he didn't ask if he needed to uphold the constitution he was talking about what rights illegal aliens had under the constitution... so you can gaslight away... but i think what i posted is a bigger constitutional crisis than trump being unsure about what foreigners rights are

Way better opponents than Nickal. Although it was controversial, the diminished Robbie Lawler that Askren submitted was arguably more highly regarded than RDR, and if not, it was close. Askren lost a competitive fight to Maia, one of the greatest MMA BJJ practitioners ever. Askren brutally KOed by Masvidal, who was coached up by Mike Thomas Brown, who is in charge of Team Nickal.

Cedudo lost the last two matches I saw. He looked listless and not willing to do anything aggressive. Has he had more fights since then? That was about a year ago. mspart

Just look at the democrats for your answer. You get misery and destruction.

I see that. I'm glad, it seems so obviously stupid that I want to laugh...except it's Minnow leading the charge, so I know he probably really thinks it, and also is able to convince himself that it's different for the PSU guys to root for Ono over Lee.
