For law enforcement, that's true. For ICE, that's not true. They need neither any proof of crime nor any warrant. They don't even need badges. They are a problem for this very reason. They aren't law enforcement, and they are accountable to no cities, no counties, no states, and even no federal law enforcement agencies. They are only accountable to the White House. In case anyone would wonder why some of us call them "secret police" is because they are exactly that. And the billions that they are being funded by (in the big fat ugly bill) makes their budget ridiculous. The ICE secret police's budget ranks them as the 5th largest military budget in the world. (No other US groups involved, this is just the budget of ICE.) If you want a US secret police that can grab up and 'disappear' anybody at any time to never be seen again (like they have in China, Russia, and many other shithole countries) - then ICE is your thing.
