    Not listed is a father of one of the Stanford wrestlers. He's back in the Bay Area helping out at a high school a bit down Highway 101. Although it's not likely that he'll technically be a Stanford coach, he'll be in the room and the dad's wrestling resume is quite impressive. It will be interesting to see if the dad's younger brother, who's wrestling accomplishments are even better - and is up the 101 coaching at a HS a couple of hours away - gets into the Stanford room.

    WKN - Great stuff (as most of yours is). HOWEVER, most of it is useless/wrong! The reason: NCAA DI wrestling didn't begin until 2009-2010.

    For the most-part, freestyle and Greco take place from March into July (end of high school folkstyle through Fargo). Summer Olympics reflect the correct period when that is the consideration for the Northern Hemisphere.

    Those matches can be wrestled in the small gym or cafeteria on split mats with coaches or parents ref'ing and the JV kids keeping time and score.

    If Vito can get those ears sawed-off, 57kgs is a very doable cut.

    In a just world (or Worlds ), that would be 2 and 2. Blue initiated and ended up on top (almost like he had a takedown...). Micic did counter and expose, worthy of 2. But the end result for blue should be 2, not 1 as the existing rules call for.
