  1. AJ/Glazier likely R2 match
  2. The CSUs (which Poly is one of) are either cutting entire athletic departments (Solano State) or programs all over. San Francisco State recently announced they are dropping baseball, womens soccer and indoor track n field. The wrestling program, which contributes many coaches to the high school ranks up and down the state, has been close to being cut somewhat recently, and was given a hard look. It's still something of a surprise that Humboldt brought back their program (dropped 40+ years ago at the DIII level and resurrected this past year as DII). Hoping both make it out of this.
  3. he was referencing Owings/Gable, not Cassar/Steveson (which he does to close).
  4. A lot of work and effort, great to see. However - and not a criticism- those look more like predictions than rankings. Regardless, good to read.
  5. as Big10s are this weekend?
  6. Another reason why duals only hurt wrestling and don't matter! (remain calm, that's just a joke)

  11. I'm a PSUer and at no time thought that Haines had criteria for a TD on that.

  14. Alexander Leipold!
  15. In folkstyle, Sanderson beat: Vering Rohn Hahn Munoz (along with finalists Lambrecht, Trenge, Eggum and Cormier)
  16. San Diego State dropped their program, which was DI, after the 1992 season.
  17. Friday the 13th will be bad luck for some (won't mind if it's the dwarf twins in black).
  18. to Arcata?
  19. maybe if they were DI, but they're not.
  20. I was talking with Russ Hughes at the 2012 State(s) Tournament in Hershey and after introducing me to him, he told me that Zain was going to do big things at the next levels. Russ wasn't one for hyperbole but I was a little surprised, although not shocked, at his achievements his true frosh year at Penn State. When he came off of his RS all surprise was gone. Best to him in whatever comes next!
  21. 8 weights, quarter carry for wrestle-backs to 3rd. No more double-bronze repe. Could satisfy the IOC as there'd be the same number of medals as the current structure.
  22. Word is Cael hates the smells of diesel exhaust, cloves and B.O., so he didn't make the trip to France...
