  1. F'n Davis, still can't hit a leg attack when he needs to: "After a struggle, Davis was subdued by police. Police noted that after the struggle, Davis broke the officer’s wristwatch and radio earpiece, and ripped the body camera out of the officer’s vest."
  2. Was Billy Murphy (Hughson HS, 2X CA State Champ) also part of that class for Tom (although I'm not sure if he ever wrestled an official match for Iowa)?
  3. This. One scale in staging, matches are assigned, wrestlers step on the scale and head to the mat (or don't, depending on what the scale reads). That's as "mat side" as it needs to be. Makes the logistics and set-up somewhat easy.
  4. They should build bunk beds!
  5. Is there anywhere in this with Jacob wrestling Angel, who of course pronounces it Ahn-hel?
  6. Provide something factual to this "bad blood" as opposed to your insinuation that there is some. Just because Sanderson and Taylor aren't slobbering over each other doesn't mean there's animosity.
  7. John Smith (FS) Jimmy Martin (folk)
  8. Spratley or Figs at 133? Did DT run the Figs possibility by his 125 pound finalist?
  9. Shouldn't Ryder have had the motivation to beat him out H2H in the room for the spot and win a title? Him leaving presumably shows he doesn't have the confidence that he can earn the spot. That or he and his family decided he can get a full ride and money elsewhere instead of a partial at PSU. Possibly a combination of both...
  10. Of note, Jay got his 1st National Champ this season for San Francisco State!
  11. Very deserving of the award!
  12. such as Terrell Barraclough
  13. and in his Teams prime, Admiral Kilrain could sneak up on anyone on the never champ list and slit their throats with no one knowing...
  14. objective thought on Davis - If he is looking to leave, Michigan would be a great spot. from there has a redshirt to use wrestle opens when available spend a season working with Ragusin
  15. 100% true - He was definitely dominant. But everyone knows heavyweights are turtles...they can't get off their backs!
  16. Cael takes jajensens posts seriously. He knows his staff can't really coach, so they have to make sure the cupboards are full and take steps to keep points away from other schools.
  17. If by 2nd place you mean title, then yeah. BTW - When is your annual PSU falling post coming - is this the prelude? Keep at it, at some point/juncture it will be right.
  18. The blue Kolats were better than the freaks/Rulons.
  19. David Evans (141-149) and AJ Frichionne (197) from Penn State into the portal
  20. Were all of Nichols AAs when 6th was all that was placed out to?
  21. Metcalf and Burroughs were 2X champs. Jake Herbert's another. David Taylor won a title at 165 - the same weight KOT won his 2. Heavyweights Kerry McCoy, Steve Neal, Cole Konrad were each two-timers. Maybe-maybe not, but recency bias may be at play.
  22. SL was outstanding on top. Once he had a wrist, swipes were likely!
  23. Coincidentally, I read a portion of a study today about recent research from the University of New South Wales stating that "...taking 5 grams of creatine supplement per day does not make any difference to the amount of lean muscle mass people put on while resistance training." Research from the study: "54 healthy people between 18 and 50 through a 12-week resistance training program. Those in the supplement group took 5 grams of creatine daily — the recommended maintenance dose is 3 to 5 grams. Participants began creatine a week before starting the exercise program, which included three supervised resistance training sessions a week. They didn’t do a creatine-loading phase, which involves taking 20 to 25 grams daily for up to a week to rapidly saturate muscle creatine stores. The researchers said creatine loading isn’t necessary to reach saturation levels and can cause bloating or an upset stomach." Personally, I thought creatine did add size to my tris and chest and helped with recovery after runs. I did not notice notable gains in lifting performance.
