  1. I saw that he is in the safe sport list that Snyder got temporarily put on. It sure if it's related or if something else was reported. Someone check that
  2. There is a spectrum and the idea that wrestlers will be world class at 32 years old is a very new thing that is specific to only David Taylor, Kyle Dake, and Jordan Burroughs. Literally everyone else might make it to 30, and around then they lose their spot. They might remain capable of earning medals, but it is just the reality of American wrestlers. Honestly, it might happen closer to 28 years old, but I have not ran down the list.
  3. I think there will be 12 or 14 matches. I cannot recall, but I read that somewhere. So only half of the matches have been announced.
  4. Do you remember what was said?
  5. Someone somewhere said the bridge was burned between tOSU and Bo Bassett when he committed to Iowa. Anyone have anything to add to that? Did anyone else read or hear that somewhere, or am I alone and mistaken on this?
  6. Because it is Messenbrink next topic? Do you think Locket can beat Caliendo?
  7. Sponsors, media rights deal, and ticket sales. I am encouraged by the fact that they got Fox as broadcasting partner and real money men are behind it - Left Lane Capital
  8. Izzy did an interview with wrestdag about RAF. Translate it in Google chrome - https://wrestdag.ru/news/izzi-martines-sdelaem-tak-chtoby-bortsam-ne-nuzhno-bylo-ukhodit-v-ufc/ Some new info including - Fox will be their broadcasting partner. There will be 3 x 2 minute periods because the breaks allow for short videos about each wrestler. Events will be 14 matches, and the translation says it will include schoolchildren, but I will take that as highschool kids.
  9. It is assumed since he accepted the U23 spot and he earned the U20 and Senior sport. I doubt he would opt out of U20s. The one he would pass on would have been U23s, so expect to see him at all 3 tournaments this summer.
  10. My guess is that she did not have a say in the matter, but it was a PR move to mitigate any risk since she has already caused a lot of drama for the school. They did not want to take a risk on any more drama. That is the obvious assumption. If she had anything to say for the situation, well then what a *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me* show.
  11. Without any knowledge for the reason for dismissal, I am going to go with he lands at Illinois, Michigan, or UNC Chapel Hill.
  12. Let's find out why he is leaving before we make guesses. Hopefully it's not a Cal State Bakersfield situation
  13. When you get a transplant, I think you have to spend the rest of your life on immunosuppressants, which will make it hard for him to coach and attend tournaments. I hope he and his wife can figure out a way to keep him coaching. Maybe he just wears a mask and spends a ton of money on sophisticated ventilation at his wrestling facility. I am not sure. Attending tournaments may no longer be possible. The perspective he will come out of this with will be very interesting to hear.
  14. You make a good point. The article would have stated if she was a minor when she was in the sauna with Staroccia, so I assumed she had turned 18 by the time she arrived on campus, but yes, given the history at the university you would think there would be a lot of controls in place to secure the athletic facilities. If there is security footage of Starocci and Kasak entering the locker room, then there is footage of him bringing a girl into the locker room. The university could look for this and find out if Cael was notified. If she were a minor, then he better have reported it. But again, this age of consent law in PA feels contradictory to so many laws.
  15. No, they do not make those signs and there is nothing about anything like that in the Collegian article. The article alleged he brought a college freshman into the team locker room and sauna after he had connected with her via DM when she was 17. Honestly, to think you are allowed to bring anyone not on the team into the locker room is one thing, to bring a girl in there is a whole other thing. Look, I know it sounds gross that I point out the age of consent laws in PA, and I think it is crazy that it is 16 and it should change, but it is what it is. Just pointing out a point of confusion for me about whether he broke the law with the explicit images texts. Assault is always a crime.
  16. The watch theft is dead in the water probably. Starocci is going to hide it from Cael and the police. There is no evidence. Not a problem for Cael. The inappropriate actions on the mat *can look* like good technique. There is nothing there. Article did not mention if the coaches were notified of this being an issue/blatant, but did say that he had done in front of them. Ground to fire him? No way. Cael could maybe get in trouble for the Snapchats, however it might require documentation or a police investigation to determine the facts needed to pin anything down on Cael, and that would require someone on the team to press charges and be the victim of this crime. I doubt that happens. The girl getting groomed is not a problem for Cael. Cael being told rumors of sexual impropriety is also not a Cael problem. If he were presented with evidence, then that is a different story. This is Carter's problem, and if he sent explicit images to a minor, and that girl wants to do something about it, then there is a trail of evidence to get him in big trouble(although I heard age of consent in PA is 16, so that is confusing since you cannot send explicit images to a 16 year old, but a 16 year old can consent). Same thing with the alleged incident at his house, but these things go to court and you never know what the outcome will be. I just do not see how this is Cael's problem. I am no Penn State fan.
  17. They think it is not a medical necessity. What a shame.
  18. That's probably a good point. Also, what stopping these athletes from getting a lawyer and taking each decision from Deloitte to court. That seems to be happening a lot there days.
  19. Nothing matters. Got it.
  20. They could use a GM to manage this guy and to tell him to shut the ***duck** up. You don't want your biggest donor making comments like that. The public has no idea if Gabe Arnold likes to party or whatever about living a wrestler life. Why say anything negative. It already seems like Gabe doesn't handle the fanfare well in the first place. Also, the man has a superiority complex. And I understand why. He is important to Iowa wrestling. But to pretend he has an influence on the wrestlers is unhealthy.
  21. It sure seems like something happened now. It's passive aggressive to do that.
  22. Where are you hearing these stories.
  23. I like him to Iowa too. It felt like it was a good fit and I want to see the talent spread out. Penn State will have a hole at 149 after Shan Van Ness graduates(unlike every other PSU weight class). So there is lineup synergies with him going to PSU. My prediction is that he goes to PSU.
  24. Drugging and raping athletes? Did this occur on campus/ in athletic facilities? I guess I didn't look into this far enough. I thought he was touching athletes and showering with them.
