  1. I failed to follow the posts correctly.
  2. Are you certain? Is he done wrestling? And the speculation is that Cody Chittum's academic issues caused him to quit wrestling and join the military?
  3. Where is Cody Chittum? Is he ok?
  4. Nobody did. I was just saying how he wouldnt be going down during Olympic years, but I expect he goes 70kg before then throughout this quad
  5. Meyer is not a 65kg, but I would expect that he goes 70kg if he enters into WTT this quad.
  6. that seems strange
  7. It has been 1 month since the article was published on June 26. No comment from Starocci, Cael, or anyone from Penn State. We had Mineo say Carter is no longer part of NLWC, but looking for that tweet and it looks like he deleted it. Shocking. Maybe it is isn't true. Are we surprised by the silen
  8. Can you describe the blueprint?
  9. He's been in Hidlays corner at Ranking Series but not at Final X
  10. He retired after like 25 years as head coach, although it is speculated he was pressured to do so. Indiana had very weak teams under him. Escobedo and Dubuque were champs for him. And then Chalfant at heavyweight got 2nd and Taylor Walsh got 2nd too(maybe a 2x AA). Brandon Becker was a 3x AA. Nate Jackson was a 2x AA. There's probably 2 or 3 more AAs from early 2000's under his tenure that I cannot recall.
  11. USA has brought home a medal at 92kg every year since the new weight classes in 2017 with J'den Cox 2017 through 2022, Zahid 2023, David Taylor 2024. Hidlay looks like he can keep the streak alive. If we are only looking at World Championships since 92kg is not at the Olympics, the streak at 74kg goes back to 2011, although Burroughs failed to medal in 2016, so you can say 2017 for 74kg too if you want.
  12. Barry Davis, Wisconsin seemingly pushed out in 2018 CD Mock, UBC fired in 2015 Kevin Jackson, Iowa State stepped down 2017 Zalesky, Iowa was fired in 2006 J Rob, Minnesota fired in 2017 And then you can list programs dropped. That's a longer list.
  13. I saw that he is in the safe sport list that Snyder got temporarily put on. It sure if it's related or if something else was reported. Someone check that
  14. There is a spectrum and the idea that wrestlers will be world class at 32 years old is a very new thing that is specific to only David Taylor, Kyle Dake, and Jordan Burroughs. Literally everyone else might make it to 30, and around then they lose their spot. They might remain capable of earning medals, but it is just the reality of American wrestlers. Honestly, it might happen closer to 28 years old, but I have not ran down the list.
  15. I think there will be 12 or 14 matches. I cannot recall, but I read that somewhere. So only half of the matches have been announced.
  16. Do you remember what was said?
  17. Someone somewhere said the bridge was burned between tOSU and Bo Bassett when he committed to Iowa. Anyone have anything to add to that? Did anyone else read or hear that somewhere, or am I alone and mistaken on this?
  18. Because it is Messenbrink next topic? Do you think Locket can beat Caliendo?
  19. Sponsors, media rights deal, and ticket sales. I am encouraged by the fact that they got Fox as broadcasting partner and real money men are behind it - Left Lane Capital
  20. Izzy did an interview with wrestdag about RAF. Translate it in Google chrome - https://wrestdag.ru/news/izzi-martines-sdelaem-tak-chtoby-bortsam-ne-nuzhno-bylo-ukhodit-v-ufc/ Some new info including - Fox will be their broadcasting partner. There will be 3 x 2 minute periods because the breaks allow for short videos about each wrestler. Events will be 14 matches, and the translation says it will include schoolchildren, but I will take that as highschool kids.
  21. It is assumed since he accepted the U23 spot and he earned the U20 and Senior sport. I doubt he would opt out of U20s. The one he would pass on would have been U23s, so expect to see him at all 3 tournaments this summer.
  22. My guess is that she did not have a say in the matter, but it was a PR move to mitigate any risk since she has already caused a lot of drama for the school. They did not want to take a risk on any more drama. That is the obvious assumption. If she had anything to say for the situation, well then what a *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me* show.
  23. Without any knowledge for the reason for dismissal, I am going to go with he lands at Illinois, Michigan, or UNC Chapel Hill.
  24. Let's find out why he is leaving before we make guesses. Hopefully it's not a Cal State Bakersfield situation
  25. When you get a transplant, I think you have to spend the rest of your life on immunosuppressants, which will make it hard for him to coach and attend tournaments. I hope he and his wife can figure out a way to keep him coaching. Maybe he just wears a mask and spends a ton of money on sophisticated ventilation at his wrestling facility. I am not sure. Attending tournaments may no longer be possible. The perspective he will come out of this with will be very interesting to hear.
