  1. Cherry picking at its finest. Washington spent millions and millions into various native american tribes and organizations under various pervues. Sports Illustrated was very much on one side of the story when they wrote their articles on the subject.....during this time of cultural political war....and for the most part wrote on the one side of that agenda. Except for the one time they even admitted 90% of native americans responding to an election survey, that was not at all operated by Washington, was not at all offended by the name and logo. No one said every NA was against the name change, but objective viewing shows that the majority were. Like usual it is not typically the majority, but the loudest, who are most heard. We can cherry pick all day to find something to suit 'our side' but at the end of the day it was a move made to satisfy the loud few, not the majority. But that said, I do agree the President of the United States has no business getting into team names, let alone threatening holding up franchise progress. And I'm a Cowboy's fan.....I'm not interested in them getting a new stadium!!!
  2. I was actually going to include Bomb Pops on my original response, they were the bomb. Not only bigger back in the day but tasted better than they do now.
  3. I didn't talk about 'some people', I talked specifically about "many many leaders in the native american nation", including the family of which the mascot was inspired, and what they felt about it. Conveniently disregarding that and shifting to "some people" doesn't change the fact. They're opinion carries a little more weight than those just looking for cultural political points, no matter how hard you try.
  4. Lot of pieces to this: 1) Many many leaders in the Native American nation, including the family of the chief of the Blackfeet tribe who's image inspired the logo before the Redskins name was removed, want the name changed back. Many, many leaders never wanted the name change in the first place, as they felt it as a memorial rather than the degradation that was being hyped for cultural political points in the time of kneeling in African garb. 2) Don't pretend the President isn't addressing the economy, immigration, foreign policy and other issues that were hot topics of the election. Not everyone may agree with how he is addressing those issues, in some cases myself included, but don't pretend he's not spending time on them 3) The President of the United States should not be involved in the naming of NFL franchises and using threats to try to hold up stadium deals, particularly a republican President, when the party is supposed to be about small government.
  5. Butterscotch dilly bars are real s**t
  6. Homemade ice cream is absolutely best.
  7. Vanilla with sprinkles, chocolate with the grinded up nuts was a close second
  8. Mr Softee with sprinkles was the s**t!!
  9. One? Okay . Get your warm fuzzies. More shifting. We’ve went from FIFA to Obama And….what am I saving??
  10. Always looking to shift. That has zero to do with the number of people being swept up who are not illegal. But hey, you do you, whatever you can to give you your warm fuzzies!! You’re approaching Jimmy levels of adorable with having to quote the same post multiple times…
  11. Wait….what??? Your writing skills are catching up to your comprehension skills.
  12. Correct. But a problem exists in the number of people being swept up who are not illegal. Hence FIFA’s concern.
  13. You’re just making my point for me. But then again, according to your nut swing, he’s never made a drawing in his life. So there’s that. Except that, well…ummm…
  14. There are a few slots I will vote no matter what….mayor, city council, and sheriff. Those slots have the biggest impact on our day to day life. The Presidency is obviously a very very important office, but my belief is, and I’ve been ragged on this board for this belief but I don’t care it’s my belief, is that the president doesn’t have 1/100th the impact on my and my family’s day to day life that I do myself, so I’m not going to support any heaping pile of *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me* I don’t feel is fit for that office.
  15. The most interesting part of this story is how the reactions to it would be EXACTLY THE SAME, across the board, if this were a Biden story
  16. I can do that, but my services are not free. Come up with 787 million dollars and you got a deal.
  17. This has been my dilemma for the past ten years. Only difference between you and I, and I don’t say this to say one of us is right or wrong, is that I don’t feel like I just have to vote for someone just to vote. So instead of voting for either heaping piles of dog *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me*, I’ve just left that slot blank and worked my way down the rest of the ballot. Would be nice to see someone I feel fit for that office on the ballot. Preferably on the Republican side, but I’ll take anything worthwhile at this point.
  18. Only the left media, right? All ya’ll are funny. RV, Trip, Caviera, Offmat, Luchador…..yall are very entertaining.
  19. Well, as long as he clarified after the lie was so easily disproven. All good.
  20. I’m not sure. I’m not sure what the so called letter is or isn’t. I’m not sure if he’ll actually file the lawsuit. I’m not sure if he files he’d win. I do know telling blatant lies in his response won’t help him win the lawsuit.
  21. In all honesty the WSJ releasing this now was pretty suspicious. But then what became more suspicious was Trump responding to it by saying he’s never drawn a picture in his life. Ummmmmm…
  22. I wasn’t talking about the WSJ, I was talking about you.
  23. You are seriously no different than the people you pretend to despise. Don’t need to read for yourself or listen to someone in their own words, all you need is to be told what to think and hear what you want to hear and you’re good, you ‘guarantee’ it to be true. Can’t imagine why anyone wants to look at the world through such a small window.
  24. Now there is how he can’t believe Biden appointed Powell. Ummmmm
