I would agree. But the point of this whole topic is that the LEO in DC, who apparenlty it's okay to assault without being arrested, was not doing their job. I didn't use the words 'under control'. I used words like "murder rate is 12% lower than in '24" in conjuction with you stating how many murders this year, and I used words like "data suggests the LEO in DC, (which you have shown you have no respect for, since assaulting them is 'wrongful arrests') is in fact taking the stand and doing the job". Those kinds of words...you know...gutter talk. Hmmm...cut out the section of the same post that talks data and what that data suggests, so you can find something to lean on to make you feel better. It could mean that, but I think we both know that's not what he was trying to say, being that all the lead up to this is the crime was being allowed to happen rampantly and nothing was being done about it, and by the fact that he didn't argue that in response, but as usual tried to make a shift. It could just as easily mean the local law enforcement was in fact doing the job and didn't need the military to be doing law enforcement activities. I don't know either way, I'm not in DC, and don't really trust the soundbites they're giving us. Just pointing out that the data doesn't necessarily show "change is in the air, boss". Just seems like more grandstanding from my perspective.

It’s a sad state when we’re chin wiping so much that assaulted law enforcement officers is “wrongful arrests”. Well, depending on why they are assaulting the police officers I guess.

So, on the topic of change is in the air...just for comparitive purposes...in 2024 DC averaged 56 arrests per day. But I'm curious how many presidential pardons were issued for violent and/or destructive crimes committed in DC yesterday.
