Because I am petty: U20 team: Blaze, Duke, Henckel, Mirasola, Mirasola. U23 team: Lilledahl, Blaze, Duke, Mesenbrink, Haines, Welsh, Barr. Now, I wasn't a physics major, nor am I or a rocket surgeon, but I think that is 50% and 70% of the U20 and U23 teams, respectively.

Tony might have had his dirty laundry aired. Or, as the kids call it, caught some strays.

Hardy is a much funkier, better mat wrestler than Mendez. I could definitely see Hardy catching Ono a time or two. That said, I believe the plan is for Ono to take a RS this year.

U20... national champ? Surely that means he represented the United States at the U20 World Championship, right?

I know several straight, married Australian couples who refer to their spouse as their "partner", as well. Also, yeah, at some point if you're a 60 year, referring to your SO as a "girlfriend" or "boyfriend" seems a little weird.

Off the top of my head, Penn State/NLWC has people on the senior national team at 57kg, 61kg, 70kg, 74kg, 79kg, 86kg, 92kg and 97kg. 8 of 10 weights, with a chance to make it 9 of 10 if Blaze wins true 3rd at 65kg. There is also a good chance they have the U20 reps at 61kg, 70kg, 92kg and 125kg. LL is still U20 but focused on Seniors and likely U23s; I don't believe he's registered at 57kg for U20s. If PSU athletes choose to accept them, they have locked in the slots as U23 Worlds reps at 57kg, 61/65kg, 70kg, 74kg, 79kg, 92kg. They have Rocco Welsh going at 86kg at U23s, as well. So, to answer your question, yeah, PSU has a reason to be training hard this summer. Lost in the "Cael is killing the sport" theme in the National Duals thread is the fact that a large percentage of the PSU lineup will be competing at U20, U23 or even Senior Worlds this fall, and will need to recover from those events.

Sounds like Iowa is beating the tar out of their team this summer, with very few of them actually competing. Also, very weird that he thinks several Iowa guys are U20 champs (well, beyond Pan Ams).

Ah yes, Pat, it's the girlfriend of a THWC member, who happens to vote for one political party, that is the problem here. It's definitely not the fault of the person who was attempting to wrestle for (counts on fingers) his fourth different school. Truth be told, I'm amazed that that woman had the stones to put that out there. Good on her.

Marcus Blaze, senior in HS , can be on the national team at two different weights if he beats Brock Hardy (or Hardy doesn't show up) for the true 3rd.
