Was some state agency in AZ responsible when 500,000+ acres burned in the Wallow fire back in 2011? Was some state agency in MT responsible when 1.2 million acres burned in 2012? Their reservoirs are actually fine. That’s public information and easily retrieved. If 70% of hydrants in an area are in use you get terrible pressure. Hell, you can see a drop in pressure in my neighborhood on any summer night when 10% of the houses are watering their yards at 9pm. Can you, or this person, explain how a dam will prevent wildfires? We have reservoirs all over CO. Big ones, small ones. There were a bunch right near a couple of fires that happened back in 2020. One of them was right next to Lake Granby, the third largest body of water in CO. Unfortunately, you can’t pump water uphill fast enough, and you can’t scoop it out in enough volume with an aircraft, to make much, if any, dent in a truly large fire. The most effective thing is a couple of big ass bulldozers and a bunch of dudes with chainsaws working behind them. Remove fuel, starve the fire, keep it from spreading. Good luck convincing a judge that a person convicted of battery on a police officer was somehow lured to the Capitol by Nancy Pelosi and that her emails hold the secret to this grand conspiracy. You’d have to demonstrate a real reason, not just, “Nancy Pelosi was Speaker when I slugged a cop in DC.” They have the right to try. It’s a civil matter, and has nothing to do with their pardon. JonBenet Ramsey. I remember being in elementary school when that happened. The entire thing seemed wild to me. Who would dress their daughter up like that? Who would enter a kindergartner in a beauty pageant? Why do beauty pageants for 6 year old children exist? I’m not suggesting the parents did anything bad. But the entire concept grosses me out the older I get. And, I would never think of making my kids do anything like that (and that’s the thing: no 6 year old wakes up and says, “Yes, mama/daddy, please enter me in a contest where I dress up like … whatever that is … and I am evaluated on my appearance by grown ass adults.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I guess my point is that I rarely see a 125 who isn’t doing terrible things to their body to make weight, and McHenry is a guy who looks like he weighs 115 soaking wet. That young man is a world class athlete and he’s giving up 15-20lbs to his competition. I’d have the same feelings about it if he were still at Michigan. Hell, Iowa too. Now, is he a statistical outlier? Absolutely. The entire world is getting bigger, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see 57kg go up to 59-60kg in the near future.
