  1. They admitted the screw up. He said they also do "drafts" of every major possible news event, and this one just got sent prematurely. The point is the celebration of the screw up was greater than the actual screw up. In the long run, do you think Blaze really cares much.
  2. Pyles made a good point on FRL today. The people complaining about the accidental leak (which Flo acknowledged) who just wanted to dunk on Flo's mistake on social media, brought way more attention to the leak than there would have been otherwise. Their celebration of Flo's mistake did much more damage to Blaze's moment than the actual leak did.
  3. Trent Hillger, Hayden Zillmer, plus Tabor and Hopke when healthy. Hillger just won the Bill Farrell last weekend.
  4. Apparently coming back to the Gophers.
  5. Check out his Instagram post today ??
  6. Hoping for Purdue, to spread the wealth around, but have a strong feeling it will be Penn State. He actually fits in the lineup there at a weight they aren't 2-3 deep with top kids.
  7. In their newest rankings, Flo has moved Sasso from NR to #3 at 165. While I'm sure everyone hopes the best for SS, this seems a bit premature, being up two weights, not having wrestled yet, and coming off a shooting injury. With that said, this weight does seem to be the most open for mid All-American spots.
  8. Good showing by the Minnesota Gophers, with 5 champs at the Mountaineer Open...133 Tyler Wells, 141 Vance Vombaur, 157 Tommy Askey, 184 Max McEnelly, 197 Isaiah Salazar. 125 Cooper Flynn, 165 Andrew Sparks, 174 Clayton Whiting, and 197 Gabe Nagel took 2nd place. 3rd placers were 125 Brandon Morvari, 174 Ethan Riddle, Hwt Bennett Tabor.
  9. Minnesota is sending 14, including the probable starters. What other teams are sending starters?
  10. Coaches dressed as pro wrestling managers would also be pretty cool.
  11. Yeah, it was Sinclair.
  12. Iowa State wrestle-offs are being streamed right now on the IAwrestle Rokfin channel.
  13. I was skeptical of the amount of "good" weight gain too, until I saw him in person last week. He has a huge frame, and it looks like his legs have almost doubled in size. The Gophers have always had a great strength program, and current coach Scott McWilliams is carrying on the tradition.
  14. Possibly, but I doubt it. Tabor is considerably larger (~40 lbs heavier than last year) and I think will have a good year.
  15. Nelson and Nagel scored only an escape each against each other, if I remember correctly. Salazar scored an escape, a takedown and ride out against Nelson. Hopke is out injured. Millard and DuChateau looked good but Askey, VomBaur, and Roberts had the edge on them, although the young guys did score some takedowns. If Askey gets/takes another year in 25-26, I would guess either him or Millard would go up to 165.
  16. Minnesota doesn't do official wrestle-offs, but the open practice yesterday gave some indications. Salazar seems to have the edge over Nelson and Nagel at 197, who both would be solid starters. Brandon Morvari and Cooper Flynn were very close at 125, but neither opened up much so hard to say for sure. Bennett Tabor has put on good weight at Hwt, and I think will jump up significantly in the rankings. Max McEnelly is going to be a problem for a lot of 184 pounders. Tommy Askey, Andrew Sparks, Drew Roberts, Vance Vombaur, and Clayton Whiting also looked in great shape and favorites to start at their perspective weights. Tyler Wells at 133 did not participate yesterday.
  17. I'm obviously not a Wisconsin fan and Bono's coaching methodology is not one I would seek out personally, but the way some of the local fan base has turned on him on message boards and social media is really self-destructive to a program. Fans ripping on their own coach certainly doesn't help recruiting, fund raising, or inspiring future prospective coaches to go to Madison.
  18. And now, #1 215 Jude Corea has reopened his recruitment (was committed to Michigan). He didn't seem happy about Hwt Sahakian flipping from Arizona State to Michigan after he had committed there. I'm going to need a flip chart to keep track of all these flipping flips.
  19. I can't speak for Cornell, but often these signings are just a photo op for the family. A lot of kids in my local community do it whether they are going D3, NAIA or whatever.
  20. Him and Rummy Macias (Mankato State) had a nice Division 2 rivalry from the 60s to the 80s. They both passed away this year. RIP.
  21. Cornell
  22. Apparently, David Taylor has flipped another top recruit from the class of 2025, in Sergio Vega. This goes along with flips of Landon Robideau and Cody Routledge from the same class (all top 10 P4P). Seems that such a great coach with an open checkbook from a billionaire donor could go after more uncommitted recruits.
  23. But there would be a certain amount of collaboration with the coaching staff as to who gets offers, whether they publicly admit it or not.
  24. The team dissension has to be huge when someone new gets lured in with rumors of 6 figure payouts, and other guys already on the team with similar records are getting books and a fraction of a scholly.
