  1. It was more of an existential question.
  2. Why would a person of faith disrespect others faith, even if it isn't exactly the same as your own?
  3. Gopher went 7-3 (counting 1 pigtail). Were seeded to go 6-4, so a decent round. Not bad considering their best guy from last year turned pro and the second best guy was injured and didn't qualify.
  4. Matt Lamb, Michigan State HWT was mid to late 20's but I think blood round was his best finish. He made a comeback on the SR GR circuit at age 42. Matt Brown, PSU was around 25, I think. One season He wrestled like 4 different weights, 165-197 or something like that.
  5. Mitchell Mesenbrink to parts unknown.
  6. Go Gophers! Great first session.
  7. They were wrestling 184 and 195 most of the year but have moved up to 195 and Hwt for the post season. Cole doesn't seem big enough to be a college Hwt, but I would have said the same for Cassar, so maybe he can gain the size needed over a few years.
  8. Are they going to come back for the 2nd half or maybe just call it a day? Good lord, I've seen better set ups at middle school matches.
  9. They need to bring their hips to the party.
  10. I thought 149 was the ideal starting weight for the Gophers, but the upper weights wrestled better than the lower guys who have bigger cuts.
  11. Gophers leading Badgers 13-6 at the half. Gophers have used 2.5 backups so far and Gomez out for WI. Minnesota 13 Wisconsin 6 149 Michael Blockhus (Minnesota) fall Aidan Medora (Wisconsin) 5:56 157 Garrett Model (Wisconsin) dec. Drew Roberts (Minnesota) 12-9 165 Dean Hamiti (Wisconsin) dec. Cael Carlson (Minnesota) 7-3 174 Bailee O'Reilly (Minnesota) maj. dec. Josh Otto (Wisconsin) 14-4 184 Sam Skillings (Minnesota) dec. Tyler Dow (Wisconsin) 10-4
  12. How does Cael put up with these Godless shenanigans?
  13. This dual has lots of intriguing match-ups!
  14. Maybe Michial Foy deserves just a little credit for this recent win over Warner. They had a very similar match last year that Warner won by just a point or two. So not a total shock.
  15. Sorry, "Zargo" not Parco
  16. Just for fun I broke down the Flo Big Board rankings from each of last night's contestants (and probables in parenthesis) from their Senior year in high school. NR= not ranked. 125 Spencer Lee #2, (Ybarra #16) vs. Pat McKee #38 133 Brody Teske #34, (Schreiver #66) vs. Jake Gliva NR, (Nagao #69) 141 Real Woods #21 vs. Jacob Bergeland NR 149 Max Murin #44 vs. Michael Blockhus #44 157 Cobe Siebrecht NR vs. Brayton Lee #13 165 Patrick Kennedy #3 vs. Cael Carlson NR, (Sparks NR) 174 Aiden Riggins #84, (Brands #94) vs. Bailee O'Reilly NR 184 Drake Rhodes NR, (Assad #13) vs. Isaiah Salazar #27 197 Jacob Warner #7 (Glazier #32) vs. Foy NR Hwt Bradley Hill #87 on MatScouts, (Cassioppi #14) vs. Joles NR
  17. After the Parco win and close loss to Real Woods, I was hearing national finalist by some. Let's pump the brakes there a bit and let him get some matches in.
  18. That head slap call against Facundo last night was poor, and don't get me started on the match against Amine last week, when the ref called takedown twice and then waved it off. Heck, even the ref in the Ohio State wrestle offs against his teammate screwed him.
  19. He's a tough kid, but some of the wrestling media people were overhyping him a bit early on.
  20. He's 76.
  21. Marcus LeVesseur, out of Minneapolis Roosevelt and Bloomington Kennedy, is who you are thinking of. After his RS Fr year he would have one year of overlap of eligibility with one of two national champs, either Jared Lawrence or Luke Becker, if he moved up.
  22. Askren mentioned on FRL that a third person had been told by Davis that, something to the effect of, Ben wouldn't be very good in college.
  23. I'm not sure what part you are disagreeing with. He dislikes both past and present Badger HCs, for different reasons, hence projecting a negative view towards the program in general that his athletes pick up on.
