  1. Seriously...didn't you read this thread?? Your political lover Mikey posted an article about democrats vs. republican's and sex offenses...man your loyalty to a political party knows no bounds.
  2. So Mikey...you blame the car for hitting the girl because you have an unnatural obsessive hate for the guy running the company as opposed to hating the idiot drunk driver who hit the girl scout stand...again you can't make this stuff up...
  3. How in the heck does someone make rape and pedophilia a partisan thing?? Can't make this stuff up...
  4. I think we all agree on that very point. Which then causes people to 'pick sides" and take "stances" on what "science" to believe or not to believe. My overall point is that yes you should "trust" doctors and scientists/experts....to a point....that point being that each individual should have overall say in what does or doesn't happen in terms of their safety and health. Example....if my doctor suggests I take a drug, or I suggest I take a Pharmaceautical for whatever I may have (insert jokes here), I should have a say which one I take (ex. what are the different options, side effects, cost, etc.) and I should have a say if I even take the prescribed drug. What I don't do is just blindly let my doctor tell me to take a drug or to do XYZ. What I don't do is blindly follow what I see on TV. What I don't do is blindly follow politicians. What I don't do is blindly follow "experts". ETC.
  5. I took Ornithology in college because I had to (Biology major)...thought it would be "easy" as I know a lot of birds (LOL)...it was one of the hardest classes as it too was taught by a renowned ornithologist (RIP Dr. Grewe). But he was one of the coolest/intelligent, most interesting person I have ever met.
  6. I literally came on here this morning going to post this exact thing...thank you! Wish we could go back and read some of the old Covid threads on the mat.com...I know I got into a lot of debates with people about Covid...you may have been one of them as my stance was a little aggressive...but man, sure wish some of those who on here arguing "science" could re-read what they wrote about Covid and the "science" now...where is that hindsight??
  7. Funny how this topic got turned into a trash on Trump thread. It is quite laughable. Anyway, the basis for all of this arguing is just blind partisan support followed by weird narratives in peoples heads on how what they believe is right.
  8. So according to your take on things, the cake shop owners should never have been sued for not making the wedding cake for the gay marriage??
  9. I just don't know why people keep wanting to talk about this idiot?? And it's usually the people who hate him the most that do it. Let him fall into obscurity, never to be spoken of or heard from again.
  10. Somewhat valid statement in regard to intent...which I will put the case in question aside because your statement then becomes invalid as we all know what the "intent" was. But I would be concerned with how we are issuing warrants that may be based on inaccurate information...regardless of attempt to conceal truth. It is just a slippery slope is all. I am all for catching people breaking the law and holding them accountable, but within the constitution and our justice system process.
  11. Well that is 100% incorrect and an off the wall overstatement. Because people aren't IT experts or security experts, they can't have an opinion about the spy balloon? Excuse our ignorance ole wise one. So I'll ask you this question then, you are more concerned about MAYBE gaining some insights into things our IT/Security Experts may not know, over the potential to lose valuable national security secretes, such as nuclear silo sites?? If so, you and I sir think about things WAY differently. Bottom line is, no other country's spy plane/balloon/drone/etc. should be allowed to fly in our country without our say or approval...or EVER!!
  12. I guess it is how someone would read that sentence...I took it as Trump didn't deserve to be investigated in the first place given what they found after the began the investigation...which I sort of agree with...it is a hindsight statement not a statement of his support of Trump at all costs, or he is choosing to give him a "pass" just because he may vote "R" all the time (which I have no idea if he does or doesn't). And I didn't read it as a sentiment to finding out stuff about other people who did "bad" things and got found out. How about this...if an investigation was started and the reasons why the investigation was started turned out to be false or inaccurate (even if other stuff was found out and other people got in trouble) is that a "justifiable" investigation in your opinion?
  13. @Plasmodium what did mspart say that wasn't true in regard to the Russian investigation and all the FISA stuff? Or what was said that shows his blind devotion to Drump? He seems to always back up what he says with info/data/links/etc. that support his opinion on the topic. Which then to me doesn't scream blind "R" devotion, or that he is applying certain elements of guilt and innocent based on the letter after someone's name.
  14. Sorry...collect on what?
  15. Can you show me where anyone on here have forgiven Trump's transgression without providing evidence/facts as to their opinion?
  16. @Plasmodium But I haven't seen to many on the "other side" blindly apply their logic and criticism to only one side while forgiving their side when they misstep. Has anyone on here...this part of the message board...blindly forgave Trump and all the bad things that come with him? They just tell the facts while others...like you...use mostly emotion on topics and completely turn a blind eye to "your side" on things. So I am comfortable who I call out and who I don't. And I am also comfortable being called out when I do say something stupid like @jross and others have done...I'm cool with addressing my hypocrisy and am okay with admitting I have been wrong.
  17. Ahhh...okay. Did you think the risk of additional data collection by the balloon was less of a threat than that of potential damage to it landing out in the middle of nowhere in Montana? And are you okay with Trump not even knowing about the balloons that briefly flew over the US? My personal opinion, I can't believe Trump didn't know, but not surprised. Each and every one of those balloons should have been shot down as soon as they were discovered in our air space. Scary to think we are so laissez faire about this. I'm not a big conspiracy guy, but to think we are okay with China sending these balloons into our airspace should scare every one of us.
  18. Hey @Plasmodium...they ALL are corrupt!!! Do you agree that if anyone breaks the law, they should be investigated and charged if warranted? Why does this not hold true for politicians?? I would challenge you to try and at least look at any politician with the same lens no matter what letter they assign themselves too...we all will wait...
  19. So glad I didn't see it and so glad I have not watched any coverage of it!
  20. Besides trying to deflect...since bringing up what happened in the past under Drump has nothing to do with the current situation, do you agree with how it was handled THIS time?
  21. Yianna is a great wrestler and will go down as one of the best in college wrestling, but he will not win the Hodge...nor should he. Weird that people are arguing for him to win it because he may...and that is a big MAY...win 4 titles, but man, he lost this year...period. It's okay...probably won't hurt is legacy in the end (unless Gomez gets him again).
  22. Yeah...made me feel funny...
  23. I wonder if Burwick will win....
