  1. Don't you think these may go down? There isn't a lot of evidence that marijuana use causes a ton of health issues...especially when compared to let's say alcohol.
  2. I have looked into this...I use to travel to Denver 3-4 times/year for work. While it can be said A LOT of money is available via taxes, it is pretty hard to actually find the true benefit of the money influx in terms of how it is or plans to be used...this is not only from what I have looked into but from pretty much every single person who lives out there's experience that I worked with. Again, I am all for the legalization and the potential for increased tax revenue, I just would like to know where and how the money is going to spent, and then actually see that happen.
  3. Laughable is to think a bunch of 18-20 year olds have the slightest clue as to the reality of things in life...especially in other countries other than from what they are being spoon fed by totally biased people and media. What's more telling is that THAT is what you took out of everything I said and commented on. Better get back to your protest so you don't have to go to class.
  4. I'm not sure I buy the "boom in state economy" thing, however, while I personally do not imbibe in the whacky tabacy I don't understand it being illegal, especially in its current form (gummies, candies, etc.) considering it appears to be no worse, and maybe safer, then alcohol.
  5. I'll never understand the thought process/attitude of completely dismissing the actions that lead up to a reaction and then go WAY over the top criticize the reactions that were brought upon the people themselves...it is borderline narcissistic behavior. Criticize the side that reacts to being attacked. Blame people for unfortunately/inadvertently killing human shields and not the people using a person as a human shield. Blame the cops for making arrests for the actions of the person being arrested. Blame the people trying to get into buildings that are being blocked by "peaceful" protests...blocking a roadway or access to a building is NOT "peaceful" protesting. Blame university policies when buildings get taken over versus the people taking over the buildings. Justify yelling "death to Israel" by claiming the meaning is something other than what the actual words say. SMH I'm all for the right to protest, but will never understand the actual crazy behavior associated with some of them. Most of the protesters have NO IDEA what or why other than it is a fad and they like to virtue signal. And as for the war...Humas brought it upon themselves, and the results of the war and the responsibility should fall mainly on Humas. War is ugly and it is very unfortunate the innocent lives that are lost..I'm sure Israel hasn't done things perfectly in regard to what is "right" in war, but that is why war is so unfortunate and yucky. I truly wish Humas would surrender and the war be over.
  6. So stop saying books were banned then...because you just indicated you agree with what has happened in most cases at schools...aka, books were not banned.
  7. Oh if you only truly believed this.
  8. @ThreePointTakedownSince you just can't help yourself from going down stupid rabbit holes and continually insinuating things about people and want to find the boogeyman in everything, I'll try one more time...I'll type slow...no need to read into anything I write other than what the words say. I feel society will get a lot further in terms of people making enough to live if we focus on teaching hard work and self-accountability MORE....versus jacking up wages unnecessarily which in the end teaches people nothing and drives up costs of products and services. By the way, about 80% of fast food workers are high school/college age kids who are not looking to make a career out of it. That says nothing, or insinuates anything about someone who does want to make a career out of it. SMH
  9. This is priceless...you complaining about someone acting like a victim....you can't make this stuff up
  10. Sigh...I know I shouldn't do this but I did...responses in red.
  11. Why encourage hard work and self-responsibility...just keep giving people "free" money and raising minimum wage...that fixes everything!!
  12. Yeah...I stand corrected. I guess I should have said you didn't bring up Covid as a topic of discussion but rather as a way of making a point to the topic being discussed and the rock lobster turned it into a topic about Covid.
  13. Maybe he is still young and figuring out life...not to mention, it is social media...which isn't real life people
  14. That they were 'banned"...I agree
  15. You sir ARE an expert smoker though. Going to be in your state next week and bringing my brothers smoker over to our Airbnb...have brisket and pork belly burnt ends on the menu so far, along with teres majors and tenderloins (just grilled). May do a pork butt.
  16. So this got me thinking of a funny thing...TPTD claimed to have only lost 2 wrestling matches ever and they were close losses...what if TPTD was actually one of the best college wrestlers in lets say the last 10 years...who do you think he would be?? I'll say Brian Realbuto...Cornell Grad
  17. I've never seen anyone on here claim to be an expert on climate, immigration, or virology...heck on anything. Opinions and defending of those opinions don't equate to a claim of being an expert.
  18. I might get an X account just to see the back and forth.
  19. I'll agree with this somewhat; however, parents have a say as well as voters who vote those in who make policies and legislation. I am all for NOT banning books based on the normal/actual definition of the word ban, not the media/liberal new definition of what ban means. I am however for a parent expressing their concern about what sort of books and their content are available to a young child in the school library. If they feel that content isn't suitable for children of a certain age, and the school board and/or local legislation decides the books shouldn't be available for the children in a school library I support that 100%. Also, what I am 100% against is how the media portrays these types of topics...and people fall for that crap!
  20. LOL "I was wrong, and instead of admitting it, I am going to try and argue about a completely different scenario."
  21. Book bans are accelerating across the country amid right-wing pressure campaign | CNN Business This article is so ridiculous! Talk about using emotional terms like "book ban" to get people all riled up about something. The article provides no details about the "book bans", just blatantly calls them bans. Not to mention it only mentions the "bans" the R's were behind while never once mentioning the "bans" the D's were behind. Also, got a kick out of their "source" for number of "bans" and the reason for them. And why not throw some more emotion onto it by claiming some of the authors of the books were so "hurt" by it and it is adversely affecting their life...that may be the case, but what about the authors of the books the D's wanted "banned" mentioned or how it affected them?? SMH...sad part is a large number of people will "fall for it".
  22. LOL...hey Dumb Dumb....YOU brought up Covid in this thread!!
  23. Wow...you pompous self-righteous child. This is probably a good place to just end my "conversations" with you as it is almost laughable how you assume, judge, label, and downright have no idea what you are talking about. You are an immature, young, Mr./Ms. Know-It-All that at the end of the day has yet to grow up and truly experience life and the knowledge that that provides. You throw around accusations and terms like "privilege" to grown ass men who have lived more life than you probably ever will yet you think you know who they are, what they believe in their heart, and have the audacity to try and lecture them on things they have had to deal with longer than you have been alive. One day, my hope for you, is that you actually grow up and learn what life is really about, and to do something that takes a lot of maturity and humbleness, and that is do some self-reflection. I have, as all the people you argue with constantly have said many many times, I am ALL about helping those less fortunate. I am ALL about equality for every demographic in our society. I am ALL for trying to actually make a difference by volunteering, working at food banks, donating to food banks, coaching for free, buying the less fortunate sports equipment, clothes, shoes, etc. I am very fortunate in life to have what I currently have but understand the hard work and sacrifice it takes to get there...as well as understand and remember where I came from; thus, terms like "privilege" are absolutely ridiculous to me. That does NOT make me un-empathetic for those in unfortunate situations or those different than mine was, it does not mean that I don't think people should receive help to get them in a better spot in life, it does not mean I think I am better than any other single person out there. But it also doesn't mean every single person out there should just blindly receive a pass in terms of self-responsibility and accountability (and no I am not talking about the mentally handicap). Good luck to you TPTD....you'll need it
