  1. Guys jumping two weight classes is not exactly unheard of. In many cases, they were already making an incredibly hard cut down to the original weight, and have someone in the next weight up that they cannot beat. So they continue to go up. It seems reasonable someone who looks natural 165 but was wrestling 157 could appear a full sized 174 the next year.
  2. It's not that I don't think people are juicing. It's just that I don't think you can back into it based on looking at people's faces and weight gains. It's not that simple. And in doing so, you dehumanize people and damage their reputation.
  3. I'll tell you what - I had more acne than he does when I was a sophomore in high school. It sucked!
  4. I don't think he's 21 yet. maybe he's 20? regardless. I was still growing at that point. and that's not unusual. You don't need to be naive, but have some class. No one required you to make a baseless accusation against a kid
  5. If someone is making that change at say - age 24 to 25 - then sure you can raise an eye brow. The people in question are still at an age where it is normal to be growing (especially filling out even when done growing in height). This isn't a Barry Bonds transformation. To me unless someone actually is aware of information to prove the contrary, this all comes off as tabloid type jealous BS.
  6. I don't see how a football case from decades past can be extrapolated to wrestler's taking steroids.
  7. my sister in law is a dermatologist and a damn good one. she mentioned a million and one reasons that someone can have an acne spike up. to automatically assume steroids is to be mean-spirited and intentionally disparaging. there simply isn't enough evidence
  8. I would also add outside of wrestling history as famous Philadelphia upsets - the 2017 Philadelphia Eagles vs Patriots and the George Washington-led Continental Army vs the English
  9. It was Kasak's family that sold part of a cow to Barr so that he could bulk to 197. I would first assume that Kasak ate the other half of the cow- before I would assume steroids
  10. I think people should strive to be better than holding that level of conversation. I believe in presumption of innocence, and we have nothing but pseudo-dermatology assessments from wrestling fans who have zero knowledge of any wrestlers medical information. If it turns out it wasn't true, will we find all of the same people coming back to publicly apologize? Of course not. And coming from another wrestler (instead of a fan) it comes off as a sore loser excuse.
  11. That's true but I didn't see any way he'd beat him in folk either. Part of what makes wrestling so enjoyable.
  12. I find it very strange to speculate about whether a college athlete has done steroids.
  13. How about Billy Bob from Varsity Blues
