  1. Most likely four timer at each weight in my own opinion (with some of them being particularly unlikely): 125: Luke Lilledahl 133: Ben Davino 141: Aden Valencia 149: Kannon Webster 157: Grigor Cholakyan 165: Braeden Scoles 174: Lorenzo Norman 184: Angelo Ferrari 197: Cody Merrill 285: Jim Mullen
  2. correct -student visas limit the number of hours a person can work. of course, many still do it under the table
  3. Braunagel almost won, but got majored at the last second haha
  4. Braunagel with the opening takedown over O'Toole
  5. 17-7 in favor of Illinois. O'Toole will need to do some serious damage to get Missouri back within reach
  6. Scoles wins because Steed used all of his injury time. Scoles is TOUGH
  7. I hope Steed is okay, but it didn't look illegal at all
  8. Byrd up 3-0 with about a minute of RT after the first period. Byrd starts down in the 2nd, flaps his wings into a standing position, Moore holds on too long and gets the stall. Moore chips away at riding time (down to 33 in favor of Byrd) by concedes the escape. Byrd gets his worm with another takedown with one second left in the second. 7-0 Byrd after 2 with one stall against Moore. 3rd period starts with Moore on bottom. Byrd applies forward pressure and spiral ride, gets a bit over aggressive, and Moore slickly reverses him. Cartwheel by Byrd on bottom and he re-reverses. Then allows Moore to escape. Grabs another three for himself, shoves Moore out of bounds, and earns a stalling point. Byrd's pushing for a tech here. Goes for a low single, shelves it, gets around Moore's Funk. 17-4 with riding time. Byrd proudly goes back to his nest.
  9. Moore loves the step over which is what Ramos used to stick Byrd in the first round of NCAAs about three or four years back
  10. 13-1 win by Walker over Riley. 4-0 Mizzou after one match. Byrd circling Moore like a vulture
  11. Gage Walker with two separate tilts for back points. 11-0 Walker over Rile after the 2nd.
  12. Does it feel right that a single takedown, plus a single set of back points plus a riding time point is a major decision?
  13. I hope this becomes adopted by as many as possible going forward. especially for youth

  15. wow looks like they are wrestling inside of a wedding
  16. Redding has beat: Aaron Nagao Wyatt Henson Mosha Schwartz Ethan Fernandez Kyle Biscoglia Taylor LaMont Domenic Zaccone Kellyn March Cody Phippen Block's best win was 5-4 over Nash Singleton
  17. I understood that and would go a step further than saying that they provide good value. I would assert that they are eating the cost for some reason. If not, they these others are making a fat margin!
  18. From my perspective they are subsidizing the production, casting a wider net or potential viewers, they make the venues interesting, they invest into the commentary. They understand the production value. This package alone at this price point is a good thing for wrestling.
  19. He hasn't wrestled yet this season with Herrera getting the nod in Navy and Stanford duals. With some of the guys who have been around for a few years, I've noticed there will be a second semester contingent that is not yet eligible for whatever reason
  20. The only downside is the lower frequency they have duals and tournaments. But when they do, they are well executed and good value. ESPN+ - good value at 11.99 per month and a large volume of mostly duals (with a few tournaments sprinkled in), but often poorly executed (unclear scores, no riding time clocks, fixed camera that misses side mat action, etc) BTN+ - 12.99 a month and fewer matches than ESPN+, but the matches are big ten schools so I suppose they have more draw for some people. Quality here is simliar to ESPN+ - they can bring in a good team for a big dual though. Smaller duals will not get that attention Flo - 29.99 per month - content volume toward the higher end, more tournament driven, but does have select duals. Worse value for ongoing streams, but they have the best stored library of their old content if you wanted to go back and see recorded duals or tournaments from years past. They have a lot of things I don't use as well, so the value may be there for some folks. I am mostly here for the live matches/tournaments Rokfin - 14.99 per month and then sometimes you need to pay extra for the bigger tournaments. I find the platform difficult to navigate and this is the only one I'm not subscribing to here at the moment. And then there are the channels that only show up through basic cable or direct TV like ACCNX and the standard Big Ten channel (not Big Ten Plus). This is the worst overall value for wrestling since it is probably 70 dollars a month and doesn't include much. There are a few schools who require a PPV for their own home duals like North Dakota State, Little Rock, and a few others I'm forgetting.
  21. Wrestling injuries are always kept quiet. Probably because it would make it easier to target the person's vulnerabilities. But then it makes us wonder whether someone is having a bad day or if they are actually injured.
  22. 125: Terukina dec Peterson 3-0 133: Frost dec Ayala 6-0 141: Redding dec Bloc 9-0 149: Parco dec Echemendia 9-3 157: Teemer dec Johnson 9-6 165: Caliendo major Euton 9-10 174: Kennedy dec Riggins 9-13 184: Arnold dec Bockman 9-16 197: Buchanan dec Carroll 9-19 285: Bastida dec Kueter 12-19 Hawkeyes
  23. At 2.99 per month, ill consider it subsidized. They provide excellent value
  24. Speaking of index funds ( @Wrestleknownothing, didn't know that about your background - interesting!), I don't think it's necessarily helpful for individuals in the wrestling world (or any other part of the world) to dwell too much on how they measure against some external benchmark. More useful to measure yourself on where you want to be. It's cool to hear about everyone's path at age 25, but not sure how pertinent it is to Gable (or anyone else for that matter) I'm not taking a shot at you WKN. I was just saying generally I don't like having a consensus view on what growing up looks like (as long we we are treating people with respect). Ambition comes in all shapes and sizes.
  25. dumb question from me (what a surprise!): 1) Does this mean that those who do not subscribe to BTN+ regularly, will have the opportunity to PPV for this dual? (great news) or the far worse news which would be: 2) That those who are current subscribers to BTN+ would need to pay extra for some reason to watch this dual
