  1. His best wins were Ryder Downey, Peyten Kellar, and Trevor Chumbley
  2. They seem very well prepared, but perhaps not wrestlers themselves seeing how they have said things like "player" instead of "wrestler". but I agree they're doing a good job
  3. Former Hawkeye Bretli Reyna
  4. Powe looked strong at first - but he needs more stamina for sure
  5. 133 has been a close match. Boarman is legit
  6. I'm a mixture of nervous and excited for him
  7. I think Evan will stay at 133 with Jacob Frost or Redding at 141
  8. I boldfaced the part that I was feeling. Everyone makes mistakes. Obviously this wasn't calculated. It's a good thing to give grace to others if you ever expect grace in return.
  9. Sucks for him and for general wrestling fans. He's a heck of a competitor
  10. Since none of his matches will be expected to be close - and because Minnesota is still not expected to be vaulted into trophydom, I would have to say that ultimately, it doesn't move the needle much for me. But I'm not against it. Neutral is my stance
  11. I like Bouzakis a lot - I think its cool how he honors his brother after matches. I want to see him succeed. I think others have touched on the source of some of his struggles. His extreme strength advantage in high school did not directly translate to college. He is still figuring out when to utilize skill and when to try and overpower.
  12. what would Jombo have to say about their behavior?
  13. I saw the match with Harrington and it didn't look good. What worries me is that when you have a few concussions, they become easier to get. I saw the two moments that caused they to stop the match and it didn't look like anything out of the normal (though Shapiro did not look to be faking it). It's such a serious issue - I hope he takes the year off and takes care of his brain.
  14. sound like a classy move by Gable - looking out for the sport
  15. It would have meant that Truax would be going back down to 174 after being 197 the previous year right?
  16. I can actually think of a few things that would legitimately qualify for that. For example - a slight labral tear in the shoulder - does not automatically require a surgery. But depending on where the tear is, and how strong the muscles are around it, the person will feel a different impact. You see it all the time in professional sports where they wait until the offseason to get an operation. Certain things can be enough of a gray area, you could probably wrestle-off and get surgery if you lose.
  17. Interesting that Nagao is healthy enough to wrestle-off against Davis, but injured enough to take a medical redshirt.
  18. No clue - with a room like they have - they have a lot of options at several weights. couple of their best wrestlers are on redshirt, but its still early and that could be removed. Should be interesting, but I would like to see Robinson and Camacho at 125/133 for a few duals
  19. Wrestlestat already went ahead and made the switch. I'd bet Camacho would challenge for 133 since Robinson has been having so much success at 125
  20. Yes lost 1-0 to Babin (Pitt), 12-0 to Seymour (Lehigh), and 11-1 to Sotelo (Harvard)
  21. Harvard's Jimmy Harrington beat Ed Scott for third place
  22. ahead of everyone
  23. AJ Ferrari - Christian Carroll - and Stephen Buchanan all in a row for Nick Stemmet. Tough stretch
  24. I guess he just had to make weight twice in two days though - maybe a factor?
  25. Caliendo running away with this now. Exciting match
