That's true, but with Vega having the length advantage to begin with, and add another eight pounds I would think that he adds leverage more so than Echemendia can add to his leverage by doubling down on his already demonstrable physical strength advantage. Usually I think among lower and middle weights, your success is usually optimized by going as far down in weight as reasonably possible.
