  1. Gunderson has also exhibited some good wins in freestyle if I remember correctly. Looking forward to the next chapter at UNI. They haven't let any obstacles get in their way so far.
  2. Some rumblings that Keckeisen could follow Roper to the RTC in Stillwater. No clue if there is any truth to it. But seen it mentioned across several other team boards.
  3. we have had 257 portal entries this year compared to 247 for all of last year. we will have plenty more
  4. I like Nini don't get me wrong. He wrestles tough. But I have noticed that 149 seems to be the deepest weight class right now for the transfer portal. Illinois would be an attractive spot for many, from my perspective. Even after McNeil and Jordan Williams made their choice there is: Ethan Stiles Jack Gioffre Chance Lamer Jesse Vasquez Willie McDougald John Wiley (he could make the weight) David Evans
  5. Either he or Watters could man 157. In particular, Watters is enormous
  6. https://x.com/KellarPeyten/status/1913371664093413514?t=wbfTp7CgcQKbGTJRjDxihw&s=19
  7. Colton Washleski from Rider to UVA!
  8. With Stiles in the portal, it feels like the Lamer's have an easy fit back into Corvallis lineup
  9. For all the criticism of Bono (from me included) - getting Zan on the podium was pretty cool.
  10. https://uwbadgers.com/news/2025/4/16/general-news-uw-athletic-board-approves-coaches-contracts.aspx
  11. I was hopeful when they hired Kish, but in the three seasons since he joined Oklahoma, they seem to be going backward compared to how they were under Rosselli.
  12. Flo is showing Chittum to Ohio State as official As well as Ethan Ducca from Wyoming to Campbell
  13. What's the story with Brett Ungar. R12, R16, and last year didn't wrestle a match after December.
  14. @SoonerKing any ideas on how Sooner's lineup will shake out? This is my guess: 125: Beric Jordan 133: Portal (Spidle would be a nice pickup) 141: Alex Braun 149: John Wiley 157: Carter Schubert 165: Tate Picklo 174: Mannix Morgan 184: DeAnthony Parker / Soldano to take redshirt 197: Bradley Hill 285: Juan Mora
  15. Joe Fongaro from Rutgers to App State
  16. Melton Powe has transferred from Pratt Community College to Iowa State. Last year he faced Minto at an open and kept it close although lost 4-2. He has a good track record from high school. He also happens to be a brother of Isaiah Powe (Chattanooga) and Daishun Powe (Northern Colorado) who are both in the portal. Wonder if brothers will join him at Iowa State
  17. Dylan Layton from Cleveland State to Rider
  18. Good. In a way they fit each other quite well.
  19. I feel like Sasso would be an excellent coaching hire for someone.
  20. Few things that make sense about Michigan: 1) Good RTC for his freestyle aspirations. He would be one of many non-US team members 2) Ann Arbor is only five hour drive from his hometown (if that matters at all to him) 3) Michigan is considered to be at a similar caliber of education compared to his current institution North Carolina 4) Michigan has demonstrated powers of persuasion in the past (deep NIL pockets?) and has utilized the portal heavily 5) With all due respect to Gilcher, McNeil can slide in as a starter at 149 without having to shift the rest of the lineup around.
  21. Chance and Daschle Lamer in the portal.
  22. I suppose there is a hypothetical situation where Thompson beats Ryder and then so does Merrill. Would be a tough one for Ryder to be forced to live up to his name (as it relates to a bench)
  23. I expect Brayden Thompson to earn a wrestle-off against Ryder. Loser enters a wrestle-off with Merrill. If Merrill were to lose that, he enters a wrestle-off with Doucet.
  24. I have no inside scoop, but I wonder if Diego Sotelo could find his way to Illinois (his homestate and they have an opening at 125) or follow in the footsteps of his former teammate Yara over to Rutgers.
