From a NYT article: These people are dumber than dirt. Water vapor IS THE greenhouse gas. Far larger amounts of water vapor are in the atmosphere than any other greenhouse gas. The rest of the article is fun to read for its silliness also The summary - "Clean Hyrdrogen" takes so much energy to make that it is not good for use as an energy. At least until we get a perpetual motion machine funded by a money tree. THEN it will be perfect. Until then, plug your cows' butts and pay more taxes. https://archive.is/DRorH

Hmmm. So maybe it wasn't about being good virologists . . . Fauci slipped when he quite rightly said masks are not useful but then changed his story. After that the govi - medi-industri-media complex was in lockstep. Poor little rich girl, Rachel. She is too stupid to be evil. Glib, well spoken, passionate, self-assured, doubtless, etc. but just dumb. Most definitely at most a midwit.

Schumer keeping Trump in check on spending.

Dude, it was a moment of weakness and you will be readmitted to the realm of the sane after a short time out. Did you also believe the Jews are starving the children of Gaza like the NYT published? Or were you still on your game and KNOW that the Hamas-holes are interceding on all humanitarian aid because the suffering of Arabs is what they need? -
White Conservatives are the biggest threat
Lipdrag replied to Scouts Honor's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
More straight white male conservatives on the loose. Not actually doing anything but staging others to do it. Probably via mind-control. https://www.jns.org/nyt-building-vandalized-after-gaza-story-correction-issued/ Schadenfreude is a terrible thing to feel and I am not happy with myself right now . . . There, I'm over it. -
White Conservatives are the biggest threat

Breaking news from RV. BLM and all of the riots during the summer of 2020 were staged by straight white male straight conservatives. Of course, it is a vast conspiracy. Started in 1619, natch. -

Example of cancel culture: Stating "All lives matter" then losing job of 20+ years the next day. Not examples of cancel culture: Not having your tens of millions of dollars contract renewed because your show loses tens of millions of dollars every year due to your antics alienating 50+% of the population.

White Conservatives are the biggest threat

They even neglected his possibleness. Lots of neglect on the reporting of this one. Could not they have at least said, "he's impossibly white" to help us get a clearer picture and to burnish their journalistic bona fides. Another helpful description would have been "may or may not be white". In either case we get the evil white word associated with another mass shooter who, anyway, should have been white. Can we get Ketanji Brown Jackson's biologist in the house to make a determination? Or is that biologist qualified to observe only sex? -

I have a question about cancel culture. If I choose not to partake of a certain entertainer's entertainment am I engaging in cancel culture? If I don't call for boycotts? If I don't disparage the person's character in public? If I don't ask authorities to remove the person's ability to make a living via debanking or deplatforming or any other means of affecting the person's access to deliver his entertainment? If I don't shout him down so that he cannot deliver his entertainment? Choosing not to partake is not cancel culture. I listened to Stern years ago but would not pony up the $$ for Sirius. I would listen to him in the morning and Limbaugh at noon. I think I am not an outlier in that. Late night, Stern, et al are not being cancelled. They are self-withering into irrelevance. And Chappelle is not in that group of those "cancelled by MAGA". But he does rile up everyone and for that i watch everything he puts out. P.S. I still think Trump is a steaming pile of dog feces I was forced to select over the options the Dems presented.

El Luchador, Offthemat, ionel. All great points and I welcome the discussion. I wish the article would address all of this also. But perhaps an article cannot deep dive the topic and must address on the surface level only. No matter how insufficient the analysis and conclusions.

I start this by saying I am generally against minimum wage laws due to their effect on the young and unskilled first time job market entrant. However, being a little bit numerate I find the anti-minimum wage people have some more work to do here. Original status vs. Wage hike: 500,000 workers x $15 per hour = $7.5 mn per hour worked. 482,000 workers x $20 per hour = $9.64 mn per hour worked. So a 3.6% drop in employment is accompanied by a 29% increase in money earned per hour. The arguments have to go much deeper into things like loss of total hours worked. Loss of buying power (i.e. quality of life) for all the buyers of the food. Increased use of welfare services, etc. And also the effects higher barriers to entry at the lowest levels of the employment pool. There are tradeoffs and they must be addressed. Is it better for 482,000 people have 33% more buying power at the cost of 18,000 being out of work. We could easily pay the 18,000 their lost wages ($270k) out of the increased taxes on the $20/hour workers. I am not arguing for ever higher and higher minimum wages. Otherwise the Buzz Lightyear Minimum Wage - To Infiniti and Beyond - would apply. I am stating that a more coherent and comprehensive counter argument than 500k workers vs 482k workers working must be presented and defended.

Last sentence is gold. "At publishing time, sources indicated that zero people so far had been arrested for the Russia collusion." https://babylonbee.com/news/investigation-concludes-trump-is-the-only-one-who-didnt-collude-with-russia That last sentence is, of course, parody because many people have been arrested and their lives ruined over this hoax. The "funny" part is they were innocent.

The 3-Point Takedown: Friend or Foe?
Lipdrag replied to Wrestleknownothing's topic in College Wrestling
i am surprised anyone is surprised at this consequence. It was blindingly obvious that raising the cost of giving up a counter take down would lower the risky activity of taking shots and also over-rewarding the first take down would lead to 3rd period stallfests. Don't people who know wrestling, wrestlers, and the mind-set of those at the top of the sport make the rules and also comment on these pages? -
Why did CNN use He pronouns? KBJ’s biologist had not confirmed it yet. Any responsible journalist would have thrown possibly in there also. Or the very useful “ may or may not” which covers 100%of all possibilities in every single instance.

What's this about Trump caving on tariffs?
Lipdrag replied to mspart's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
WAIT!!??!! Did tariffs lower trade barriers? HOW is that possible? Did negotiating for fair trade and doing so from a position of strength result in FREER trade for American companies? Don't we have 51 former intelligence honchos or 17 intelligence agencies or 13 Nobel Prize economists who can tell us this is not possible or 23 others who can say Kamala Harris' plan (which she could not articulate) was better for the economy? https://jobsanger.blogspot.com/2020/09/nobel-prize-economists-say-biden-better.html https://www.binance.com/en/square/post/15302291556025 https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-tariffs-economists-academics-trade-policy-letter-2025-4 Maybe economists should write fewer letters and try to found, create, and operate more businesses to learn how the economy works. -

So, did each port cost $20,000,000 dollars (20 MILLION!!) to build? Or are there several billion dollars still unspent which can be returned, recissioned, repudiated, or "unspent" by whatever means necessary? Goal: 500,000 charging ports by 2030. Interpolated number to date should have been around 175,000. Biden/Buttigieg performance 384. Yet judges are saying that this administration must continue to fund the hoax. https://freebeacon.com/latest-news/biden-admins-7-5-billion-ev-initiative-built-fewer-than-400-charging-ports-in-3-years-watchdog-says/

What Will Tomorrow's "Data" Distraction Dump Be?
Lipdrag replied to Wrestleknownothing's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
Brilliant. PSU Trumpian Lions. And their wrestling headgear should have Trump hair also! And rename the pinfall the Trumpfall when PSU gets one. "Barr wins by a Trump." "Mesenbrinnk gets another technical Trump". -
Maybe the criminals are getting better. Or the defense lawyers. Or the jury pool in a city like NY does not care if criminals steal from them, beat them, rape them, kill them, etc. Maybe Bragg simply needs to go to trial against more straight white males from the other side of the political spectrum. We know for a fact that Bragg is creative in creating new interpretations of the law and new ways to prosecute cases in front of the right judge and jury. Heck, he does not even need to articulate a crime nor a victim to get 37 felony convictions in New York.

Trumpian Lions. Can we get a better graphic artist than I to put Trump Hair on the Lion profile? -
We have found the problem. T'weep and others believe that crime is not a big deal. How much "little deal" crime becomes a burden on the citizens nearby? Every attempt to put structure on this question is highly successful (3 strikes laws, sentencing minimums, etc.) and then ended as soon as the success of it is noticeable and quantified. Note that T'weeps' team also is very specific about who is doing "no big deal" stuff. Grandmothers from Kansas taking selfies between velvet ropes must be bankrupted and jailed to the max extent of the law. Illegal aliens doing 8 more illegal things . . . Meh, not a big deal.

THE SOLUTION. The Washington Orangeskins!! I love it. The other solution is to keep the Redskins name but change the logo to a potato. With feathers, of course.
