  1. Which was the reason the rules committee gave for the change.
  2. https://nwcaonline.com/sports/2023/4/21/2023-ncaa-division-i-mens-individual-scholar-all-americans.aspx Of course, several schools should lose their standings on this as they inverted first and last names. I first noticed it with SD State but there were others.
  3. For AJ or for those around him?
  4. And would cut back on dates able to be scheduled. 16-2=14.
  5. I know what MF usually means!
  6. Not sure the Gainbridge would be big enough for NCAAs. Concert capacity shows 20-21k but NHL shows 12k.
  7. In some states, at least that many people have the same last name (and maiden name) because they ARE related.

I think PSU listed junior academically. I forgot he wrestled a couple bouts later but listed him as it was (I thought) his last year starting.

Cassar? I think was technically listed as a Junior.
  10. Why did you add Mocco? He's from North Bergen
  11. Tough call. Wasn't the figure skater supposed to be clean?
  12. Imagine that!
  13. I saw Burwikk mentioned that often.
  14. Scholarships are per school not per kid. So don't understand the second sentence. If you change schools you risk a different agreement at the new school. Like they say- You can't take it with you!
  15. He'll keep it straight!
  16. As to team scoring, I thought using the HS scoring rules would have accomplished what was wanted back in 2000. It keeps a wider separation between placewinners and the higher advancement points allow for lower and non-placers to still score significantly. It also helps with the difference between ch and co bouts.
  17. Deion Sanders
  18. Maybe you don't. He did. I assume even if he went with the main thought of actually taking that job, if Stanford comes through ...
  19. It's not unusual to take a trip elsewhere to bolster your salary where you already are.
  20. Yeah, to me neither RPI nor WL/PCT by themselves tell us much. A good RPI mean you wrestled a lot of good guys. WL might say you beat a lot of schlumps. You need to combine them somehow (as you mention above)
  21. I don't remember hearing he hurt him but he did pin him. It was Joe Peritore of Lehigh who on the way off the mat told the ref to mind his own business next time.
  22. The first few times they hosted (80s, 90s) it wasn't very good. New facility and Bricktown have made it a good place now. I remember from the 80s there was only one restaurant open- at the end of a long tunnel very far away (a lot of the town life is underground). Nobody told the town about the event. Hotels were a long walk way.
  23. As is Kalashnikov
