Possibly. If he were and the two older Sanderson brothers went there Cael may have followed as at ISU. I doubt ASU he would have done it even with Bobby as coach. He might have done it at Oklahoma State under John Smith. I understand it was his first choice but going with his brothers swayed the decision.

If Cael & Co had been at BYU no way would Cael have 4 NCAA titles. Even if his Father coached him he would not have done it - and Steve is an excellent coach. Cael had the talent and the moves but Bobby Douglas was a big part of his success.

How about Mormon Church "prophet" Joseph Smith. He was running for President of the US when he lost the gunfight at the jail. Was supposedly a good wrestler in his time. Downside, other than religion might be his conviction for fraud in taking money from people for finding Gold and Treasure using a magic peepstone. The kind he later used to "translate" the Gold Plates from an Angel into the Book of Mormon.

I actually have a Junk Yard Dog. Neighbors had a good looking dog & when we asked they said 'another litter coming soon' and we were ready. Took some time but finally our dog showed up. Seems their relatives own a junkyard and this was the last of the litter. Last because he was too wild and it took almost two weeks to get him into a live trap. We had to put a harness on him and running line for a few days before we let him off - and he stayed around. VERY territorial. Blue Healer/Corgi mix. Would bite behind the legs and if you were not family or I was not there he would not let you into the yard. Bit through a tire on the mailmans vehicle one time. Very effective in keeping the "midnight auto" types from stopping at our farm. The other three dogs were all bigger but this little 22 pound guy quickly became the Alpha. Was interesting watching him boss around our 105 pound hound. He is not an Iowa fan.

NCAA should have rules about this. If you name is the same as a University you have to go there.

How about John Smith at Oklahoma State? The program has been down for awhile now and rumbling is loud. Will he be pushed out now that as apparent successor has come in? Pushed out bodily or will it be gentle and take a couple of years as the new heir apparent learns from John?

Cinneboy - semantica are important. Communication relys on clarity. That you are backwards may be easily explaned and some even tolerate it. Just as some tolerate you being a welsher when betting. Do some checking and work on your communication skills. Pay attention to how posts are worded and you will see reality. Double check when capitol letters are used as well. Can make a big difference. As in helping your Unele Jack off a horse compared to helping your uncle jack off a horse. Purosely being stupid is no way to go through life.

I know a number of Veterans of military service won NCAA titles in the years after WWII. How about since then? Especially since Vietnam to our current teams.

Considering NIL hoopla and the short example of Coach PRIME at Colorado - why not take full advantage of the rules? T&T are not Dan Gable no matter how much they are associated with him and his legacy. They need all the help they can recruit so why not go for it now?

Well, maybe he can move to North Dakota and try for Coach of the Jamestown Community College Jayhawks. Might make them a Powerhouse & then can apply to be an assistant Coach to Jim Zalesky as a University of Jamestown Jimmy. Both are Iowa dudes so maybe it would work?

Cael has a garage in Heber City, Utah where he grew up and it is filled with Wheaties Cereal boxes with his picture. He gives a box of cereal to each recruit who comes to the school. "Eat the 20 year old Wheaties or wrestle at Penn State"! To cement the deal he threatens to give them a Cael Bobblehead doll if they don't sign with him. Wonder what the Wheaties boxes are worth these days?
