  1. Salazar has had a rough start to the year on his feet. I could see a path to victory for Berge if he does not get underneath him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. For those that watched Iowa State vs Wisconsin, I’m curious about the 125 match. Barnett has proven to be a tough out but has had some head scratchers before. Did Terukina look pretty good or did Barnett look out of sorts? Going off recent results of Ayala losing to Kaylor and Terukina majoring a two time AA, I’m very interested in that matchup. 3. SDSU @ Minnesota on Sunday should be a good one. 125 McKee MD Jordan 4-0 133 Wells MD Cardinal 8-0 141 Carlson dec Vombaur 8-3 (flipped if Carlson not healthy) 149 Roberts dec Martin 11-3 157 Swenson dec Blockhus 11-6 (my big upset) 165 Cook MD Brenner 11-10 174 Devos dec Skillings 11-13 184 Salazar dec Berge 14-13 197 Sloan MD Joles 14-17 HWT Tabor dec Rasmussen 17-17 Obviously biggest question marks are if Carlson and Cook are ready to go for SDSU as neither have wrestled a match this year and Carlson just pulled out of the All-Star Classic. Both are 6th year seniors so could see them being on a pitch count. 149, 157 and HWT could easily be flipped the other way too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. This doesn’t look like 25% of the Hendrickson we saw last year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I think they’re just short jokes lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Mats way too small Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. He’s going to win a national championship. Anyone who thought otherwise as soon as he announced he was going there hasn’t been paying attention. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Penn state is gunna have guys place in the top 3 at 133 through HWT aren’t they Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I hope he stays in Wisconsin forever Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Va Tech kids look sluggish as hell compared to their normal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The best case scenario next year is McEnelly 74 Salazar 84 Nelson 97, and McEnelly bumps back up after that. I don’t see either of them beating Salazar this year because he’ll be able to tilt either one of them to a major decision, but next year all bets are off if they can’t make the weights work out. Worse case scenario is one transfers out obviously.
  12. I think there’s a non-zero chance that McEnelly ends up wrestling a year or two at 174 before his college career is over. He’s not a huge 184 by any means. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Shameful promotion of my own favorite team but I have to throw Mcenelly’s name into this list considering he’s a cadet world medalist and was a very highly regarded recruit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. He’s not going to be wrestling an AA, he’s going to be wrestling a true freshman that hasn’t wrestled a college match outside of a D3 open. I’m curious why Wittlake is the one that has to prove himself in this discussion and Arnold is the one being given the automatic leg up. If we were talking about Wittlake against like, Patrick Kennedy for example I think it would be a very different conversation. You guys must know more about Arnold than I do, what I’ve seen is a lot of holding center, good defense, the occasional burst of maybe one or two attack per match if he’s wrestling a kid that he doesn’t totally outmatch. I think he’s going to be good in the future, but I’m not picking him here just yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Agree 100%. Everyone really underselling Wittlake before this dual. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. 235, maybe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Salazars got quite the grip on those tilts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Pretty damn good for an unranked recruit true freshman Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. McCauley won 5 state titles at Valley. When Robbie Fisher of Bloomington Kennedy (same high school as the Ness brothers) upset him in the state finals, I think it was the loudest sporting event I have ever been to. Apple Valley was *despised* around that time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Yep. I’m very glad to have him. Some locals would say he’s the best high school wrestler in MN history which is saying something from a state that had Gable Steveson, Mark Hall, Destin McCauley etc. I think he only had one HS loss and almost 200 wins. Just stopped attending any tournaments outside of the regular HS season at an early age so fell off most national radars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I don’t know think he will outplace Crookham or Bouzakis, in fact I don’t even know if the gophers will pull his shirt this year, but true Freshman Tyler Wells at 133 will make some serious noise as soon as he is a starter. Toughest kid he wrestled at the Bison Open was Derrick Cardinal who he tech’d. I think he’s capable of making the blood round right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. You have now commented on it as many times as I, I’m not letting you blame only me for this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I hate myself for being sucked in Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. It’s confirmed that it’s not any of our business, but he ain’t coming back for free. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Well it’s a good thing he doesn’t need your approval. There’d be zero upside to me returning to college rn too but if someone paid me 6 figures to go back, hang out with my buddies and coaches I’ve known since I was 16, and have fun competing, I’d be jumping all over it!
