Chittum lost to Drew Roberts (gopher) his last high school loss. Then he got smoked by Jamison at the US open not too long after. Chittums father has a large influence In where he landed (as with most top prospects) and in their last visit to MN he realized that Roberts was on the team as well. That scared the whole commitment. It wasn’t the sole reason, but it was a big part of it. NOW, the part that I don’t get is Jamison, Roberts, etc have stayed lower weight wise and Chittum has grown into a 157 (I think) and would still fit the roster. Money/teammate relationships came in to play big time at that point and Eggum couldn’t seal the deal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hopke’s brother plays baseball at NDSU and is rumored to be in the transfer portal soon if not already. Where he lands to play baseball will greatly influence where Koy goes, imo. I’m not referring to just riding time, look at his match at NCAA’s against Kai Orine for example. Or Jesse Mendez at big tens, he lost the takedown battle but won by riding well and getting quick escapes. He doesn’t win those matches with new rules. Again, he’s a really talented kid and hard worker so I’m sure he will adapt, but he’ll need to be more offensive on his feet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nagao will be greatly effected by the new rules, imo. He’s a great rider, not necessarily a turner. Relies on phenomenal neutral defense and scrambling a lot. He’s still a very good wrestler who anyone should want in their room though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
