  1. Awww. Back when he was semi normal. I remember those days.
  2. Brave Browser on my PC doesn't have any annoying ads. So for me it seems that the problem is on the mobile browser.
  3. I think I’m going to leave the site for a while and check back in. I haven’t been this bombarded by ads since the days before ad blockers. This site is supposed to be fun dangit lol. Hope my couple of reports are helpful.
  4. Two more examples of ads interfering with basic functionality. Both are versions of “ads blocking reply button”. See screenshots.
  5. I read it as “adds an insane wrestler”
  6. Same. Transitions can be tough so I can wait a bit. But I also will go elsewhere for wrestling chat if coming here means pop ups and animated banner ads every dang page. And yes, installing ad blocking software defeats the purpose of having ads so that’s not a good solution either.
  7. iPhone, Safari. In-thread ads every 4 posts or so, pop up ads every time I change pages, header ads appear and disappear whenever I scroll down, footer ads do the same. Sometimes the header/footer ads will show up and then change to a new ad which is pretty jarring. in my view, static (non moving) ads are way less annoying than pop ups and disappearing/reappearing ones. Also ads with animation are pretty annoying too.
  8. Makes some sense. Leg laces are still showing some control. But exposing your opponents back is certainly harder than hand to hand spins. Thanks for putting terms to the different results.
  9. Good example here of why leg lace techs are the goofiest thing to me about freestyle. Mocco still gets points even when his opponent is basically getting spun around while upright, rather than getting his back exposed. Not that my opinion matters but leg laces appear to be the easiest way to turn an opponent. I certainly see more leg laces by quantity than guts or literally any turn in folkstyle. This is where I'm curious what athletes think about it rather than assuming I know from watching.
  10. I am biased against sports that aren’t wrestling
  11. Amazing lol “My college can beat up your college”
  12. My post was tongue in cheek. I just think it’s fun to watch people armchair reform the entire sport.
  13. Hahahahaha I wondered if someone would point this out. Personally I like to think that the U17 team read the threads here and wanted to impress people.
  14. Lol. It’s my job not my hobby. Just get Jimmy in here to make a headline and call it good.
  15. zero evidence to back it up. Folks are citing a couple of weak metrics and claiming they’re legit just because a real analysis hasn’t been done. As a data guy this bugs me but hey what can you do. I’m certainly not going to go gather participation data, look at trends over time, geographical spread, etc in order to settle a forum debate.
  16. Most popular how. Number of wrestlers? Number of fans? Number of countries with x amount of wrestling clubs? Gotta define your metric. Personally I don’t buy “entries at worlds” as an actual way to measure popularity but people love a story.
  17. You might be on to something there OP. Watch, Bassett will eliminate every school from his list lol
  18. I was told nothing. So you may be right!
  19. 133 - Hughes or Witcraft 141 - Hughes or Young 149 - Young or Jamison 157 - Fish or Travis Wait, isn't this a Transfer Portal thread?
  20. Google is currently under investigation for how they prioritize search results. Can’t trust em jk. I don’t really care. I mean they are under investigation. The faux outrage is the jk part
  21. Omg right tOSU is what they call themselves so they can have that one Might just have to accept that OSU is both Oklahoma State and Oregon State.
  22. Only what's said in the interview. Pretty vague.
  23. It was a good interview. A bit painful as a lifelong Pokes fan but was good to hear what Coleman's thinking about all this. He's clearly very shaken by the rumors and I interpreted it as his lawyers are digging into the financial misconduct rumors and will be filing suit for slander/libel/defamation of character, that kind of thing. It makes sense because if he didn't do any of that stuff then the rumors have a real chance of making him unemployable. So they're tracking down the source of the rumors and will file suit or claim damages or whatever else. Hard to know when Coleman himself was silent on things for so long. Rumor mill runs strong esp in the offseason lol
  24. Whining on social media must be part of his brand now. Pretty lame TBH, seems like he's lost the smart/humble/capable vibe that made him fun to follow in college.
  25. Breaking news! Newsworthy news breaks in newsworthy breakable fashion.
