  1. Any illegal fists to the back?
  2. I'm not sure where you are going with this? I agreed with you that Arnold would at least be competitive and have a shot at winning. He proved it in freestyle, and now he's proved it against a grown ass man (in folk) when some said he couldn't. I was taking a relatively small victory lap. (I don't get many on LeDuke)
  3. ... and now he's wrestled folkstyle against a 21+ year old man!
  4. Poor Minnow. Spent a lot of money on his fly Rutgers blackout outfit, only to be disappointed.
  5. And I'm honestly thinking about this as I just went for a run, not trying to be combative or trolling. I fully agree that most people on earth would be in these middleweights, but I'd argue that soccer and cricket take a disproportionate number of those guys... leaving the leftovers for wrestling. There are some big soccer players, certainly, but I'd imagine most of them are around the middle. Disproportionately so. Not a lot of Akgul sized footballers!
  6. Fadzaev? Burroughs? Sidakov? Dake? Big Yaz? Monday? Both Satievs?
  7. Wait! I though Kevin Garnett claimed he was 6'12" because 7 footers were too awkward and unathletic?
  8. I'm thinking from college. What nation is he representing?
  9. Up multiple weights as well!
  10. Or Luke Lilledahl? Mitchell Messenbrink? etc.
  11. Don't you moonlight as a "pro wrestler?"
  12. Guilty as charged!
  13. My guess is that this one is on the athletic department. I'm sure the athletic department administered the seminar, not the coaches. Gotta give those 20+ Assistant Ads something to keep them busy! https://hawkeyesports.com/staff-directory/
  14. So if someone is accused of a crime, they should just plead guilty and submit to the punishment and not fight in court? If someone sues you for a large amount, are you just going to pay them the money, or are you going to hire an attorney. Of course you will just pay them what they are looking for! You want to be accountable! Let's be real here, most of us would choose all the avenues available to us to lessen or diminish any negative consequences we are faced with, legally, civilly, at work, etc. He is doing his due diligence, as we would expect. Exhaust the appeals, even if there is little chance of success. I don't blame him.
  15. Ask his athletes if they thinks he cares. He cares enough to follow through on this. I'm all for whatever consequence they get. They knew what they did was verboten and did it anyway. But I don't expect the coach to quit on them, and I also think that he cares about the kids. He's going to see this to the end and then go from there.
  16. For what? Brands has do do his job and follow through all the way with this. I wouldn't expect he gets what he is looking for. I don't think he expects success. But to suggest he just "shut up and take it" is a bit narrow minded.
  17. Part of what he can control is the appeals process, and as he has said he is not quitting. The process is still ongoing.
  18. Right... not U20 Worlds. U20 age group nationals gets you a handshake and a stop sign, but not an Olympic redshirt. You are literally wrong. He gets the Olympic redshirt because of his two cadet bronzes. Next!
  19. March Madness pools do count.
  20. https://legislature.vermont.gov/Documents/2016/WorkGroups/House General/Bills/S.223/Written Testimony/S.223~Wendy Koenig~NCAA Student-Athlete Gambling Behaviors and Attitudes- 2004-2012~4-13-2016.pdf It was 26% in 2012. They were doing a new survey this Fall. Not sure if any data is public. With technological advances and legalized wagering, I would be surprised if the % hasn't increased.
  21. No he didn't. But he is an age level medalist.
  22. I agree with a lot of this, but still am not sure why his weight is tougher than 86, 97, or 125. Pretty tough to beat Yaz, Taylor, Snyder, Saduleev, Taz, Geno, Taha, or Zare. Yianni's weight has parity, but none of the star power or consistency or the studs at 86, 97, 125.
  23. Confound you!
  24. The implication was that Cael's boys follow all the rules. Knowing the rules doesn't mean you follow them all, agreed. I have no real problem with the suspensions or punishments. I have said so from the beginning. I just despise the "holier than thou" attitudes.
