  1. And not a greyshirt, but Shapiro was up training with the RTC his senior year of high school, correct? Just another creative way of doing things.
  2. Cornell does it with a ton of guys including Nashon, Dean, Vito (I think). They can't redshirt in Ivy. Helps him get ready for college competition. Can help alleviate potential logjams in lineup. I don't think the posted chart is accurate. It is more than a semester; it is a whole year. Traditionally they have taken community college classes.
  3. I believe Bo Bassett said he became more devout when he saw all the champs who praised Jesus. Although he was already somewhat religious, he leveled up because he thought it might be a missing piece in his arsenal.
  4. I did not watch the court proceedings, but some did. My understanding is that there was talk of some video being official and perhaps others not being admissible. I suppose it is possible that they didn't look at the video of him making a bee line to the "minor" for the alleged assault.
  5. I don't think there is an Ivy League policy of assault charges. Cornell, maybe. I think he is planning to "greyshirt," so that could factor in. (I have personally seen students have their admissions to less competitive institutions revoked for lesser things. I now Mike Grey has spoke, but he is not in admissions and that was before charges were filed. The kid may end up fine or they could say "admission based on good behavior over gap year" or any number of things.)
  6. DT pinned his way through? Which year was that? He used gut wrenches and leg laces as pinning holds? Impressive!
  7. I mean Saduleev wore a shirt that basically protested Russian control over Dagestan, and he's still alive. Got him a short suspension from UWW though.
  8. There was a cop five feet away from whatever we decide to call what Anthony was doing. They took young Mr. Knox out in cuffs.
  9. I didn't look at the victims ID, but it was pretty clear on the video. If they say the victim was a minor, the Knox assaulted a minor. Clearly knew whom he was going after; so I imagine there was degree of premeditation. Went a few rows up and several yards to the left where the fracas involving Mr. Knox was taking place and made a beeline straight for the kid who was covering up in a fetal position. All of this taking place five feet from a cop.
  10. I don't think the NJSIAA or whatever the alphabet soup organization is involved in charging him.
  11. Of course! Can't believe I forgot Dr. Hirsch DDS MD. I believe Dr. Tannenbaum is also of the Jewish faith, despite his surname meaning "Christmas Tree."
  12. He 100% knew Tay;or was injured. Everyone did. But Bo was clearly told DT was wrestling in Worlds that year, so Bo did not challenge PD3.
  13. Exactly... and then 2021 happened.
  14. I didn't take umbrage with the cultishness at all. I was saying that I'm not the only one who believes the culture is cultish. Sorry you misread me. I'm not the only one on these forums to have thought so at the time. ATT State College MMA would look a whole lot different without Cael's blessing... and how welcome would Bo be at NLWC practices if he upset the hierarchy. Also listen to the Brooks Basch interview after OTT. He hints at some stuff.
  15. True. But imagine how sad Bo would feel if he was ostracized by what some on here have referred to as "the cult." Why didn't NLWC tell him about Taylor's injury status? If you don't tell him about Taylor's injury status then that is one less roadblock for DT the next year. Take the difficult things as they come. Watch again... really weird matches and Bo had a really different demeanor.
  16. It was all just a really weird look. Bo didn't look to be trying to generate offense. Maybe because he knew how it was going to play out, but it is also possible that something else was going on. There's no way that at least one NLWC status wasn't hiding Taylor's injury status from Bo during the previous WTT situation. Someone on the staff had to know, and let Bo think Taylor was going to be wrestling at Worlds. No one told Bo, he didn't get a chance to medal and therefore didn't get the prefereinal spot in OTT. If a staff is pulling these type of internal shenanigans, I think it is also possible that some of their stable is being used as "enhancement talent."
  17. Pro wrestling terminology. Lose the match to "put someone over."
  18. In general, NLWC has mediocre freestyle par terre, but I'm just looking at Snyder's career and the moves he scored with when he was younger. So Azapira is better than Gatsalov? And I'm still waiting for healthy Sad vs Taz before I declare Taz an all-time great.
  19. Is the talent level THAT much higher now, outside of Saduleev, and maybe Taz? Young Kyle had to deal with Varner, Cox, Gatsalov, Bolt, etc. He just lost to a guy who Valencia teched a year ago. In the Olympics, he lost to a guy whom Kueter outplaced in junior worlds. He's still in medal contention every time out, but not a slam dunk. He is also capable of some troubling losses.
  20. I mean they seem ok with Cenzo, Mark Hall, Molinaro, RBY...
  21. I've always wondered why Egypt doesn't get a lot more heat for this.
  22. I think his ankle pick was better when he was at tOSU. Also had a low single. The lack of traditional par terre by NLWC stuns me. DT was great on top, but with bars and 1/2s.
  23. Your president?
  24. Bo also seemed as if was prob asked to "do the job" at OTT.
