  1. Way better opponents than Nickal. Although it was controversial, the diminished Robbie Lawler that Askren submitted was arguably more highly regarded than RDR, and if not, it was close. Askren lost a competitive fight to Maia, one of the greatest MMA BJJ practitioners ever. Askren brutally KOed by Masvidal, who was coached up by Mike Thomas Brown, who is in charge of Team Nickal.
  2. He seems beloved by individual athletes and seemed to do well in his most recent USA Wrestling stint, at least from the standpoint of athlete success (except for the Cox incident). Somehow when he gets involved with a college program, things quickly disintegrate.
  3. I honestly don't know how much i would cut per week my senior year in college. I would only make weight once a week, and generally was too afraid to check the scale until maybe two days before. I wrestled 150 (should've probably been a 158 but I wouldn't have been a starter.) I'd make 150 Friday night. Go in for the Saturday dual, check weight then... 170+ after 14-16 hours to eat and rehydrate. Binge for a couple days. I prob wouldn't check my weight again until Wednesday after practice. Usually still low double digits over. Break out the sauna suit and a lot of extra running. Make weight on Friday. BTW, I would eat something every day and just squeeze that water right out of me. I was an all-American weight cutter, but nowhere near an all-American wrestler. I actually got worse at wrestling, but I was a starter and I was pretty big the day of the match.
  4. He's mostly training with the yes-men in State College. I imagine for camp, he goes down to ATT in FL and trains under the guidance of Coach Brown.
  5. I am certainly not a fan of Bo's personality or his act. Obviously a great wrestler. I do root for him to win in the UFC. But that fight was really really bad. He was tiny and tbh was losing a lot of wrestling positions. RDR was often controlling the ties (bodylocks) and was bullying Bo in the clinch. RDR was also able to use his ties to dictate where the action took place (up against the cage). Bo should be better from these positions.
  6. No, they are talking about the offensive man in rear standing completely leaving his feet to do a "cutback" aka a "judo drop" aka "a pistol" aka "scissor trip" I'll see if I can find a clip. It was already illegal in college (I saw Vito get banged for it) and different state associations have outlawed it.
  7. I agree with everything you said except Pereira never made 170 in UFC
  8. You literally referenced my post
  9. See, this shows how silly you are. I was literally responding to a post where the person was talking about the constitutional rights of CITIZENS. Also, you are literally saying that I am poorly informed because you might disagree with me. That is a real problem. People will never be able to have productive discussions with that type of attitude.
  10. Uh, just because I was explaining current policy doesn't mean that I am not well-informed. In fact, I would say that it makes me better informed than you. You don't have to agree with the policy to admit it exists. First of all, I'm all for protest. I'm just saying "that's the way it is at the moment." But I'm also not opposed to asking guests to behave in a certain way.
  11. Have you seen his last few fights? He is a bit on the short size and doesn't have the reach compared to many top 185. meanwhile the top guys also seem to also be more muscular in addition to the height and reach. When he was trying to wrestle 97 kg in Europe back in '21, he only weighed something like 208. That is with him trying to gain.
  12. What would be a better weight for him? 170? Because he is one of the smaller 185s in UFC. (And he did not lose 30+ lbs this week) (Based on eye test, height, and reach)
  13. He did not lose 37 lbs in three days.
  14. Not what I was responding to was it? Has any amendment or court decision ever been subjected to further interpretation by the Court?
  15. Not what he said, nor what the constitution says.
  16. Here is the disappointing and disturbing problem with your post: We are talking about non-citizens.
  17. Fake news. The reason some PSU fans are dunking on Iowa over the Duke-Miller match is bc the perception is that Iowa is the leading candidate for Miller's services.
  18. ??? Are you saying Bo Bassett's brother, Melvin Miller committed to PSU? Are you sure? When did this happen? As far as I know, he is uncommitted. Basset made sure to say that when he chose a school, that it would be a place where his brothers would also want to wrestle, and that he would like the three of them to be on the same college team. Not a guarantee that either goes to Iowa, but theoretically their feelings were taken into account when Bo committed.
  19. Stewart already committed to NCST (if that even means anything)
  20. So Ono, has one year, correct? Makes it a little easier to work lineup magic with PSU. Why did he only get one year, if true?
  21. freedom of speech has limits, as we are often reminded
