  1. I am not trolling, i am being contrarian. I have no horse in the race. I also thought the term 'mediocre' was aptly used since we are, in fact, talking about a program that strives and is expected to compete for a trophy every year. When they don't achieve that far more often than they do, that is subpar. The actual definition of subpar is 'below standard.' The definition fits. Zeke nor anyone else within the program will tell you that anything better than 36th place is acceptable, or on par. Elitist is absolute shit word usage and ignorant as hell to use. This is a ***ducking** BBS. Toughen up and don't let words hurt you.
  2. Under Zeke: 2024 - 6th 2023 - 7th 2022 - 4th 2021 -4th 2019 - 12th 2018 - 10th 2017 - 14th 2016 - 36th 2015 - 29th Again, for a team that expects a trophy every year, they have been subpar as a whole. Since 2004 they have averaged 15th place.
  3. I want: 125 - Figs 133 - Chlebove 141 - Vasquez 149 - Manville 157 - Larkin 165 - Ruiz 174 - Manville 184 - Valencia 197 - <INSERT BODY> 285 - Schultzy
  4. For a team that wants a trophy (or better) every season, they have been subpar.
  5. Now if Stanich comes out and destroys him, what happens? To be clear, they're teammates so I doubt there will be any sort of destroying going on. Does Hines then wrestle Griffin? Loser there wrestle Brignola? Loser there wrestle Dubler? Or do they just do a lineup shift for what is best for the team?
  6. Stanich going from 125 to 141? That is pretty dope.
  7. I believe he is a Frosh this year. That said, as IaW eludes to below, once the 'coach' is gone they won't draw the numbers/names. I believe he will look to follow to wherever his boys are heading which, to me, seems to be pretty likely Rutgers.
  8. Nomad is suggesting, and he isn't wrong, that we are and have been spoiled the last couple/few cycles. Keeping it purely cyclical, I suppose taking the P4P from 23-24, 19-20, and 15-16 and comparing those three would be apt. Was there a P4P for 11-12. I don't have time now, but I might later.
  9. Bishop McCort wasn't much prior to the Bassetts and their family heading there. I don't expect them to remain much after the younger Bassett has graduated - all respects due.
  10. A couple of things to consider about the logjam there is that Johnson and Echemendia are still expected to wrestleoff for the 149lbs spot. If Echemendia loses, does he go back down to 141, or up to 157? What does that do about 157, if Echemendia goes down? Do we see Swiderski come out and chop wood?
  11. He is also 5'6" tall. I don't think that will equate well for his style.
  12. A good response, from Superfan Joe Warren (a good follow if you're in to the Twatterverse). Also an element to add is that we have a few All-Timers that are fixing to 'age out' so there will be a power vacuum to fill for a year or three until we have an established hierarchy tier again (my theory).
  13. Greetings All, Nomad had an interesting question on the Twatter, and I thought it would be good for a discussion here. In his original post, he asks "How many of these guys will make > 1.5 world teams and wrestle > 4.5 years on the senior level after college?" with a screenshot of Flo's P4P Top 20. While I wasn't able to find ten years ago (2014-15) easily, I was able to grab 2015-16's Top 20 P4P and followed that up and asked something along the lines of 'Who from this fits that criteria?' Discuss, gents... Actual Twitter posts to follow...
  14. If CSUB and Michigan both go, we would get Heinselman and Focus, of which I would actually oddly root for Ford Focus.
  15. It looks like OSUW is scheduled for the 22nd.
  16. PLEASE go HWT. PLEEEEASE!
  17. I understand that, but before last year he was at 157lbs. Weight-wise... which is what we use to determine weight classes, he is small.
  18. There is no data to support this, though. He is beating on guys that he was beating on before when he was two weights down? Is there a measurable difference in the gap that has widened between him, Paddy, Hepner, etc? I have also seen videos of him training... most of us had, and that is why we are saying that we need to temper expectations. We will all root for him to win, I don't know a soul that won't, but nobody in their right mind would pick him over Mesenbrink without actually seeing him take the mat against someone of some sort of merit at 165lbs.
  19. He was very hands on there, if you believe their social medias. Haines, Ryder, Duke, etc - it would not surprise me if any of them followed. I don't think they will, though.
  20. Yet** The Transfer Window was closed, which doesn't matter for Grad Transfers.
  21. I hope Michigan and CSUB meet this year and I hope Focus goes up to HWT.
  22. This Nate Ronan? https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/150154-nathaniel-ronan
  23. 2018 was when he had just done Cadet Words/Pan Ams at 71 KG (~156.5lbs) I believe. I think you're correct on the timing.
