  1. Crappy situation.
  2. I should iterate that both you and @Dogbone are right on this matter. I am just being a turdbiscuit.
  3. I. Said. Photoshop! I have no issue with the call as-stands. Freeze-framing and video watching in slow-mo or fast-mo aren't going to do anything to change the result. If you don't like the result, I suggest you be a part of the solution and go through the process of becoming an official. It is a thankless, low paying job. They need the help.
  4. Photoshop! See above.
  5. He didn't have a half until after he slammed him.
  6. FIFY, since I see all three of these as an absolute win...
  7. Anybody have that one free year that they can't use at their current institution (Ivy) or just someone who it makes sense to make a move? For me, and I said this last year, I want to see Gilcher head somewhere else than Indiana. I was hoping it would be Michigan this year, to wrestle with his brother, but I don't think he starts at Michigan if he heads there next year. Also, not sure Dylan starts at Michigan next year, either. Catrabone is a stud... like a mini-Rogotzke without the illegal slams. Now, were Dylan to head to Indiana (which I am told that Indiana and Michigan were has final two), I could get to see them both give it a go. I just don't know what weight the bigger Gilcher goes, because Lillard is holding down 165lbs (unless Lillard heads up/down). What school would want/need their services? A school like Buffalo (which has connections to Michigan via a former wrestler on their coaching staff - Freeman)? Josh Saunders (Cornell) might be able to head elsewhere (North Carolina?) or Gregor Diakomihalis (to Virginia Tech)? Maximus Hale of Penn might be looking to head elsewhere (Michigan needs a 184lber yeah?)? Composito was in the same class as Hale, so he might need to head elsewhere.
  8. Why would Vombaur be ahead of Happel? Happel was #4 in the last CR and Vombaur was #8. Beating #1 and losing to #5 doesn't mean you jump #4. Happel took care of business and didn't lose at a weight in which he beat #6 (right after #6 beat #2). Vombaur had a loss. Also, per wrestlestat's RPI (which isn't the same as the actual RPI), Happel jumped Vombaur. Happel is now #5 in RPI and Vombaur is #7. So let's go full-Nomad on this... Running the QW without doing every wrestler, they appear VERY close in that department as well. Even if you give Vombaur the RPI and Rank, he is still losing 47.5 - 32.5 and with QW being either 10-10 or 15-5, Happel wins this even IF you gift him RPI and CR (which is it very likely he will not get both and quite possible he will not get either). EDIT: Forgive me if I am off on who is/was getting compared. There are a lot of streams flowing in this thread.
  9. Well it was new this year since the portal became a thing.
  10. 25% of criteria is H2H. Hardy is going yo best Mendez directly. Mendez needs to hope that Hardy loses to several guys that Mendez himself beats in the formula.
  11. Why did you post the 197lbers?
  12. Everyone wonders why the Nebraska coaches are the way they are because they cry all the time. That is why. This was not a slam. The gif above is sped up.
  13. This is new this year.
  14. Happel dropping would also insinuate both Alirez and Jamison drop as well, correct?
  15. FWIW, I plugged in everything from the basic 'Top 8' that everyone seems to agree on and added the three champs from the ACC, Ivy, and MAC (P12 champ is 11W-9L so I did not include him) to ChatGPT. I gave it all the results of each wrestler, the criteria, etc. It seems to be ignoring Coaches Rank, but this is what it spit out for a 'Top 11' of these gents. 1 - Hardy, Nebraska 2 - Bartlett, Penn State 3 - Happel, Northern Iowa 4 - Mendez, the Ohio State 5 - Koderhandt, Navy 6 - Composito, Penn 7 - Henson, Lock Haven 8 - Alirez, Northern Colorado 9 - Vombaur, Minny 10 - Jamison, Oklahoma State 11 - Cedena, Virginia Honestly, aside for it ranking Henson reaaally high, I don't mind it. Drop Henson to 11 and move the rest up one, and I think you have it. Edit: For these 11 only** I wouldn't be surprised to see others jump Henson. Henson has zero top 44 wins (per wrestlestat) and has lost to everyone ranked better than 44 he has wrestled.
  16. Does Strick have 15 matches at 125lbs?
  17. They must ignore them. Only matches at the weight count.
  18. Sorry, I meant Lightning Luke was up.
  19. He is already up 50-10 w/ H2H, conference, and Coaches Rank (I don't see how he doesn't rank higher...).
  20. No. Both him and Kasak have a MFF loss.
  21. Had to be helped off. Almost immediately waved/waived the match off, so I think he felt something pop.
  22. Arnold losing has a silver lining, potentially. Him being seeded 15-18 gives us a better shot at seeing him against Starocci, right?
  23. Curious how much Clemson paid that ref in the Smith-Allred match.
