Senior Pan-American Championships (May 8-11)
nhs67 replied to Tdub157's topic in International Wrestling
He's our Rich Franklin at 65 KG. He has a rating of 8-9/10 of every stat or attribute that might matter. When he can utilize his balance he can win those matches. More accurately, when an opponent who is truly elite in any one or two categories cannot stick to a gameplan exploiting that, he has a good chance to beat just about anyone. Against Dest, he was out-toughed. McKenna had a very low wrestling IQ moment in the last ten seconds of the match, and I think he was still a little shook/fuzzy from being put to sleep. -

Let Dest basically lush him 12 feet then tried to turn off when he was already out. With 5 seconds to go... US punked by Dest yet again. -

That was crap mat IQ by McKenna. -
Starocci just beat PK at NCAAs. While it isn't MFS, it is still considered a qualifying event. Ergo, I don't see how they could seed PK over Starocci.

If someone voluntold me, I would do it. With extreme pleasure.

How is 92 KG seeded? Barr gets the 1, w/ who is entered, right?
-
NLWC in 92 KG - Barr 86 KG - Dake, Starocci 79 KG - Haines 65 KG - Bartlett

Thank you, @shiraz321.

My translator is trash on that website. Usually it is okay. Would you post the finals results for each weight class, please?

The 2nd part was a setup and everyone was in on it, including Bubba... complete publicity stunt. As far as the first part, even as a man of color myself, I find it hard to take anything there seriously. His entire live the last 60 years has been a gimmick, which includes the hard R on every word that has the letter R in it.

Actually, I don't think so. They have a pretty good Frosh coming off Redshirt, Chinavare?

I don't have a clue. I think it was the typical 'got to college and found out D1 wrestling was really hard' and kind of disappeared. He even lost to a couple guys at opens that he had beaten in high school (one was BAD) and it hit his confidence button real hard. Edit: It could have been academic related as well. I don't typically ever go that route, but he wasn't even enrolled this year, so it could be that. If so, that will make his next spot an easier guess, and that would be MAC.

Happy to see Horwath again.

Ah *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me*, yeah. Apologies, gents.

How do we seed 65 KG and 74 KG right now? 65 KG entries: Jesse Mendez Bo Bassett Aden Valencia Seth Gross Real Woods Brock Hardy Marcus Blaze Carter Young You have Gross and Blaze coming up, and the others there. I could see Bassett getting seeded above Valencia because he has had two MFS wins over him the last year. Real hard to place Blaze, but I could see Gross getting the 2, 3, or 4 in that bunch. I don't like the above because it puts Gross/Blaze in the QF. That said, NLWC hasn't entered yet, and Barlett will be there to break up that matchup... another week of entries still to go. Do we see any 57 KG guys give it an actual go at 65 KG? If Blaze is the 7 and Bassett is the 2 we could see that as a QF as well. Those not yet entered who could: Zane Richard Thomas Gilman Reyes Sanchez Dom Munaretto Daniel DeShazer Vincent Robinson Troy Spratley Liam Cronin Nico Provo Brendan McCrone Austin Assad Brady Roark Nick Lee Ruben Calderon Lucas Byrd Drake Ayala Zeth Romney Beau Bartlett Ben Davino Austin Desanto Michael McGee Fernando Barreto Tom Crook WOW 74 KG entries: David Carr Quincy Monday Jarrett Jacques Michael Caliendo Peyton Hall Joey Blaze Ed Scott Elroy Perkin I think you put Caliendo just above Hall, right? Blaze could be before Hall or after Hall, but I think he is before Scott based off nothing, really. Blaze did beat him in 2023-24 in Folkstyle 4-1 in OT. That makes me think Blaze could drop to #8/8 on this list. Now for a list of guys qualified we could see at 74 KG that aren't registered (yet)... Terrell Barraclaugh That's it. Unless we see Andonian up from 70 KG (doubt it). I also suppose we could see Burroughs or Nolf in at 74 KG (also doubt it). Bearclaw would slot in just above Peyton Hall since he just beat him at the Open. Could be above Caliendo, but I think they give it to Caliendo on that one. Maybe not. Either way Caliendo/Bearclaw would be a 4/5 matchup. Thoughts?

Parker Keckeisen is the NC from UNI who is also an AWA guy (like KOT). They grew up together. The UNIC was a typo and should have been UNI for University of Northern Iowa.

Cole wrestled 97 KG last MFS season did he not? Being 6lbs heavier than that is not that impressive. Said he wants to be 235-240 before next season? Did he have a botched drop to 97 KG?
-
Bugger - wrong thread.
-
There are more than two 86 KG guys qualified and more than three 97 KG guys qualified. Every person at 57 KG and 61 KG can also enter at 65 KG - if they chose. Not everyone qualified is entered (yet). There can be more entries.
