  1. I like @Jon_Kozak having fun with it
  2. I thought someone here speculated that due to the Campbell situation, Sentes encouraged him to go in the portal and get paid. No clue if any truth to that
  3. What exact words? I know he always says “I’m for safe and effective vaccines,” but prior to Sunday I’m pretty sure he had never actually cited an example of one that he thought was safe and effective
  4. Was that before or after the American Top Team gym was built in the parking lot of M2?
  5. I’m sure we could probably shed ~25% of the federal workforce without too many people noticing. The early retirement or extended severance incentive was a good idea. But give people some time to decide if they want to take it. This would encourage people to also look for another job and hope to collect both the severance while also getting a new job. If that doesn’t get you to your goal, do layoffs like a normal company would, take some time to actually determine what positions are redundant and who are the poor performers. Not on the whims of some teenagers or based on an email demanding bullet points. Don’t shut down entire departments in a moment’s notice, and if you really feel that’s necessary, actually do it legally.
  6. Pretty sure that prior to Sunday, he had never acknowledged that any particular vaccine was actually safe and effective though
  7. Yes I believe there is 1 or 2 like that. Do you think it’s “efficient” to read 2 million e-mails in order to find them?
  8. Antivaxxers not happy about RFK’s change of heart
  9. I was today years old when I learned that “Ripple” and “Cardano” even existed
  10. No it does not have to be all or none. But to my knowledge this is the first time since RFK has been in politics that he has actually recommended a specific vaccine. Actually less than a year ago he said he would not give his children this specific vaccine.
  11. I agree, Vance came off pretty bad IMO. He made incorrect statements, then got pissy because Zelenskyy corrected him on those statements. Trump and Zelenskyy were talking fine until Vance butted in.
  12. Gotcha. Yeah as someone else said earlier I’m definitely in favor of making it easier for the government to fire people for legitimate disciplinary or performance reasons.
  13. Are you talking about this? What is it even talking about? Is this just about people working from home? Kinda hard to tell, it’s a poorly written opinion piece.
  14. But that’s not what Elon is claiming. He’s claiming people are getting paid for a job but don’t actually exist.
  15. Are there illegals working for the federal government with fraudulent ID? And the jobs illegals are working…they’re actually working. Again, I don’t think Elon really thinks there’s more than 10 or so “fake” people. I think he wants to use people’s responses and run it through Grok to determine if it thinks they’re valuable, and if not, fire them. But that’s what people were upset about in the first place, so he backtracked to “I just want to prove they’re real!” Paywall, but this looks like it’s about people continuing to work remotely after Covid?
  16. Do you acknowledge that Vance was wrong when he said Zelenskyy hadn’t said thank you?
  17. It’s not a whataboutism, I actually addressed the point: it’s legal, but it’s still silencing people. Several here like bringing up whataboutisms without actually addressing the point raised…like you did earlier
  18. Conservatives: most government workers (well the ones that aren’t patriots) are worthless and won’t be able to get a job outside of the government Also conservatives: never underestimate the ability of government employees to pull off a highly sophisticated scam
  19. (Flo rankings) 125 #20 Jordan 133 #19 Noto 141 #11 Lemley 149 #9 Paniro Johnson 157 #14 Scott 165 #5 Ramirez 174 #5 Norman 184 #4 McEnelly 197 #9 Salazar 285 #3 Hendrickson
  20. Not what the thread is about. I believe that’s what Elon was trying to get at, but he lied by saying it’s more about “making sure they actually exist”
  21. Yes, those are all fairly common forms of fraud. Much more common I’d bet then somehow having a fake job
  22. Making up a fake company is a lot different than making up a fake person. How exactly would one pull this off? Wouldn’t these imaginary people have supervisors, so they’d need to be in on it?
