  1. So you doubt the $500k amounts from last year? I don’t, in which case $300k is believable to me for Bailey. Just not Williams IMO. And technically he wouldn’t just be making up Iowa’s offer if he’s claiming someone else offered that much too. At this point if anyone with connections to Iowa’s program is telling Mineo anything, it’s because they want him to tweet it out.
  2. Yea I did not take offense, although I didn’t realize you were joking originally about “probably a HWT.” But in relation to the Mirasola conversation (and I guess the Welsh one), I feel like the only guy (in America I guess) that might be a noticeable upgrade over Mirasola would probably be Trumble. IMO Feldman is in the same boat as Welsh, maybe a smidge of an upgrade at best. He’s also had a lot of injuries and contrary to popular belief PSU hasn’t had the best track record of keeping guys healthy.
  3. I’m pretty sure he did have more eligibility, but did not use it because he was injured
  4. I asked who. I also brought up that before the Welsh news, Willie said there was a rumor about Feldman talking to PSU but that it wasn’t true, and someone else said Feldman’s dad posted something laughing about it. But PSU beats the field IMO even with zero transfers other than Ono.
  5. $300k+ for a guy with a DUI(s?) that hasn’t made the podium in 2 tries is wild
  6. Is this a Meyer Shapiro-esque callout of Volk?
  7. Maybe if they donate some of that stolen money to Trump they’ll get a pardon like this guy
  8. Speaking of Barr, was there ever any info given as far as if he was still injured during NCAA’s?
  9. Hopefully his redshirt strategy pays off better than Mason Manville’s. I feel like he should still have eligibility, maybe he’ll transfer to ASU?
  10. Looks like Facundo is leaving, which goes to what I was saying about guys being more likely to leave now. Totally agree that it seems like Taylor has a chance to level the field a bit. What HWT is PSU “probably” getting?
  11. The “new era” to me seems like it’s more common for guys to actually leave though. I get the feeling at least one Mirasola will leave I think PJ Duke is a consistent starter for them.
  12. I think PSU will get 6 champs next year. 125 Lilledahl 133 Ono 157 Kasak 165 Mesenbrink 174 Haines 197 Barr Not super confident in Ono and Kasak, but Van Ness has a very good chance as well. They would beat the rest of the NCAA in a dual.
  13. Shakur Rasheed went down-up-up 2 weights-down-up
  14. With both guys he lost to graduating, and multiple hammers at 184, I don’t see why he would. I’d pick him over AJ for sure
  15. Fair point, although “not at all” is probably a stretch considering they are still tied for the most medalists.
  16. Thanks for confirming you don’t have an issue with pride flags in schools
  17. Agree on a rainbow flag. The one with the triangles and whatnot is probably debatable
  18. How else would you determine if it was a Nazi salute? I mean, other than what seems to be the current trend of just taking someone else’s word for it
  19. So to confirm, you don’t have an issue with pride flags in schools? I wouldn’t have said anything about it if you didn’t post it here, I really only started posting on this part of the forum recently because I was bored
  20. It’s a campaign flag. You wouldn’t have any issue with a teacher displaying a “Biden/Harris 2020” sign from 2021-2024? So I take it you don’t think this is inappropriate (I do)? Otherwise you’re proving your hypocrisy. This is just a rainbow, nothing wrong with this IMO
  21. Just during the OT though. The RT from the first 7 minutes is erased
  22. Selling wrestling as the feeder system for the UFC doesn’t detract from it also being the feeder system for freestyle wrestling. I’m not saying wrestling has “an obligation” to MMA, but a lot of people are interested in MMA and I don’t have the data off the top of my head but IMO Jiu-Jitsu (which also doesn’t involve being punched) seems to be capitalizing more on it’s popularity than wrestling. But like I said, college wrestling already is the minor leagues of freestyle wrestling. If your argument is you think we’d see more than maybe a handful more people “making wrestling their full-time job” if college was freestyle, I disagree. College folkstyle seems to do a pretty good job in preparing guys for freestyle success.
  23. When was the last time someone won a match by getting 1:00 of riding time as the clock hit 0:00? But honestly, as I think about it more I feel like that would actually be exciting. I do think we need to do something about 1 second of riding time deciding 2OT matches though.
  24. That’d be more exciting IMO than winning 1-1 on criteria from 2 shot clock points because the ref felt it was the other guy’s turn to get hit for passivity
