  1. That thread did include this snippet - apparently the Ivy does allow medical hardship years even if you remain enrolled: If you are enrolled at Cornell and medically able to participate during your season, you are considered to have used a season of eligibility regardless of whether you compete. In limited circumstances (i.e., medical hardships, leaves of absences) there are exceptions to this rule.
  2. Interesting. Looks like former themat poster klehner has been lurking here
  3. Well apparently not an advocate, but more of a soft announcement
  4. Wow. Just announced on FRL. National Duals sponsored by Paycom, winner to receive $200K, 2nd and 3rd $150K. I guess Taylor knew this was coming (Cael too) and was trying to drum up interest with his tweet https://nwcaonline.com/news/2025/1/21/national-wrestling-coaches-association-the-national-duals-invitational-sponsored-by-paycom-brings-high-stakes-wrestling-to-tulsa.aspx
  5. Kharchla has been looking pretty good too. That one should be a good match
  6. Do you know if Greg was enrolled the whole time?
  7. I’m not sure I’d say “probably.” Maybe. I actually agree with the pastry’s numbers for the most part. Mesenbrink is the overwhelming favorite, and Starocci is favored as well. And then they essentially have 8 other guys with a shot. Sure one of Mesenbrink or Starocci could lose (I’d be shocked if both did), but they could easily have 2 others win. I think 3 is the most likely number, maybe 4 if we’re going off of history
  8. I’d still pick Feldman to place higher at NCAA’s right now, I mostly just think this could be a candidate for a Carvering
  9. He didn’t wrestle any matches one season, but I’m not sure if he wasn’t enrolled. It shows as a season on wrestlestat, unlike Yianni for example who showed as Spartan Combat for the years he wasn’t enrolled. Could be wrong but isn’t there something about only being enrolled for 8 total semesters? He still shows on the roster now, so would think if he knew he was done for the year and was saving semesters he would have unenrolled from this semester. He’s also listed as a senior, so to your original point maybe this is all moot and he is graduating.
  10. Also the amount of time he’s been enrolled, right?
  11. 1) Carver 2) Feldman may be dealing with a lingering injury 3) If people think part of Kueter’s problem is giving up too much weight, he won’t be giving up as much vs Feldman Looks like wrestlestat is picking him too
  12. I believe Greg would need to transfer and get a medical shirt if he wants to wrestle next year.
  13. Agree. I’m picking Kueter to win in a bounce back
  14. Although I also believe I read that Ungar was registered for the Cyclone Open but did not end up wrestling, weight issues rumored
  15. I wondered this same thing today. Took a peek at the Cornell forum and I believe the consensus was Greg’s injury has him out for the year and Ungar will be back at 125
  16. Wait I knew that name sounded familiar. He was their starting 133 last year, and got DQ’d at B12’s for punching the guy from Oklahoma in the face. Didn’t see his match with Renteria, but I probably wouldn’t be surprised if he did something to instigate it
  17. At the end he put the “loser” signal up and did a little dance, apparently it’s from Fortnite according to the comments on the x post
  18. I was more referring to what he did afterwards as the celebration, not the shove.
  19. I’m not in the “keep this stuff out of the sport” camp, but I think both these guys could’ve come up with much better celebrations or
  20. Essentially he’s had what, one bad match? I wouldn’t be too worried yet. And didn’t he wrestle 125kg at Junior Worlds? If there’s an issue, I don’t think it’s size
  21. So kinda like Piccinnini caught Spencer?
  22. Acciardi just got teched by Voelker, unless that’s what you mean by “missing in action”
  23. Is it Hamiti? Looks like he might be able to do a real split, unlike AJ
