  1. I think you’re overthinking the rankings. Considering most coaches just copy Flo or intermat, Flo and intermat will likely keep SVN/Parco/Lovett as 2/3/4 in whatever order if they don’t lose to anyone besides each other. NCAA seeding criteria is a different matter of course.
  2. Good stuff. As much as I hate that Cael is so dominant, he is a good dude. I liked this video I saw recently (may be old): https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1GeWKs6qaA/?mibextid=wwXIfr
  3. Yup, anything can happen, last year they seeded a guy that had 2 losses to Benny Baker at EIWA’s 4 spots ahead of the 3x defending national champ
  4. I think Johnson if he wins out will almost certainly be seeded above at least the B10 3rd. The question is probably will he be seeded 3 or 4 (may have a shot at 2?) and will any others be seeded above the B10 3rd. I’m thinking no but not confident, which would not put all the B10 guys on the same side. .
  5. He’s gotta wrestle against Little this weekend right?
  6. Stuff like this is why I feel Elon is being disingenuous. As I’ve said earlier, I’m generally in favor of the types of cuts they’re doing as long as they’re done legally and are properly researched (which doesn’t always seem to be the case so far). But we can’t pretend that this is going to be good for the economy in the short-term or that “it won’t effect you if you’re not a member of the parasite class.” So every government employee or person whose job depended on a contract that got cancelled is “a member of the parasite class”? I’m sure there have been many folks that voted for Trump that lost their jobs as a result of these cuts. Yes, there is bloat in the government and we should cut it. But a lot of jobs depend on it, and if we cut those jobs, the economy is going to be impacted especially in the short-term.
  7. Ok reading it closer I think you’re right. But it says that a tournament is a “traditional match,” so seems like Last Chance Open is still legal?
  8. Does this count “extra matches”?
  9. Flynn Dec Cruz 3-0 Minn Ayala Dec Wells 3-3 Vombaur Dec Schriever 6-3 Minn Parco Dec Roberts 6-6 Teemer Dec Askey 9-6 Iowa Caliendo Dec Sparks 12-6 Kennedy Dec Whiting 15-6 McEnelly Dec Arnold 15-9 Buchanan Dec Salazar 18-9 Gable maj Kueter 18-13
  10. I doubt coaches rank will move him up. But he could move up based on NCAA seeding criteria. I kinda think he’s the only guy that splits the 3 B10 guys, but who knows.
  11. I don’t think NCAA seeding is really relevant to this particular discussion. They’ll be seeded in the order they finish at B10’s (just not sure if anyone else could slip in between them). But of course where they’re seeded for B10’s will impact who matches up with who. Yeah, my earlier argument was that currently SVN had the weakest resume of wins. But he has two of the tougher guys upcoming. I don’t think he’ll lose, but it will help his overall resume.
  12. They also do a great job with the portal, proof that the portal doesn’t only benefit the top schools
  13. We’re going to spend taxpayer dollars to “prioritize” bringing white South Africans here. If you’re saying you don’t care about the South Africans because they’re not American, then you should be opposed to this Executive Order.
  14. Well looking at 184 last year: Trey Munoz got 3rd scoring 17 points (w/ 3.5 in bonus) Bennett Berge got 4th scoring 14.5 points (w/ 1.5 in bonus) Bernie Truax got 5th scoring 12.5 points (w/ 1 in bonus) Isaiah Salazar’s endless salad bar got 6th scoring 9 points (w/ no bonus) TJ Stewart got 7th scoring 10 points (w/ 3.5 in bonus) David Key got 8th scoring 5.5 points (w/ no bonus) It’s not looking like Arnold will score much bonus against NQ-type guys. Maybe not Ferrari either but less data. If Ferrari can beat Plott in a way that makes it seem like he can do it again, he’s probably looking at around 13-15 points. If Arnold is not as good as Allred, he’s probably looking at around 5.5-10 points. So probably between 3-9.5 points. The difference between 2nd and 5th last year was 5.5.
  15. Did you care about corporations that had DEI initiatives?
  16. Take that haters that think NIL will be the death of all the smaller programs
  17. Intermat did the same order.
