Honestly a lot of coaches in-match antics aren’t all that different from theirs, the Brands probably just get more flack because it’s Iowa and there are two of them. Manning, Schwab, Bono a few off the top of my head. Manning might be the worst complainer of them all.

Define successful in regards to Scott’s potential at OSU. Consistently near the top 10 and sometimes in the top 5? Sure. But the consensus seems to be Taylor gives them much higher potential than that. Rob Koll in his first year (especially since classes had already started when he got the job) is not a fair comparison, but I know you know that. I think it’s fair to bring up Scott’s performance in the ACC since neither NC State or VT were historically powerhouse programs, and they and UNC have similar resources in general. While Scott is a good coach, most probably would have only considered him at best the 3rd best coach in the ACC.

OSU should hire her as Director of wrestling operations and then I’m sure she could get a lot of screen time on ESPN+

I would bet Hidlay would get a wrestleoff with Taylor. But if it’s Taylor, people saying he’d still train at NLWC are crazy. He’s got his own RTC now, he would absolutely be repping Cowboy RTC, but maybe he’d roll around with Dake at M2 before he sells it.

Maybe I should have said “Taylor’s buddies” instead of “PSU guys.” Gilman and Kennedy were only there for a couple years and so some may not necessarily call them “PSU guys”

Quite a few are also pretty much full-time wrestling (not that there’s anything wrong with that of course, but they’d seem like good candidates to coach somewhere eventually). Snyder, Dake, Nolf, Lee, RBY are a few that come to mind unless I’m mistaken and any of them have other full-time jobs, probably Brooks after he graduates. I know Nolf runs an app or something but it’s wrestling-related.
