  1. “Comparison” doesn’t mean exactly the same. No, not as “dominant,” but he’s a 125 pounder that wrestled in PA and was a world champ with a chance to be a 3-4x’er. That’s “comparable” to me, but everyone is welcome to their opinion
  2. He didn’t really have that slow of a start though. The dual loss to Meyer occurred after he beat 2 prior AA’s at the Southern Scuffle while in redshirt
  3. “Expecting” and “comparing” are 2 different things IMO Bo Bassett is often compared to Spencer Lee too but I don’t think many people are “expecting” 3+ titles
  4. Wasn’t Lilledahl also a world champ or at least silver? He still has a chance to win NCAA’s this year (along with like 10 other guys), which would put him with potential to get 4 titles and thus I don’t see the problem with comparing him to Spencer Lee.
  5. Sure it has some similarities, but it’s a different move. Probably the biggest difference being the pulling the ankle all the way back like that - which is primarily what raised more of my questions around it being potentially dangerous
  6. Looking at wrestlestat, I gotta agree. Northern Colorado had most of their starters at both the Cougar Clash (won by Vombaur) and Southern Scuffle and Alirez went to neither. He also sat out the UNI dual (Happel) among others.
  7. First of all, kudos for actually posting a specific study, and not a link to “c19ivm.org.” Unfortunately however, like nearly all of the studies on that often-shared site, this one isn’t very good. It’s an observational study, not randomized, and didn’t really have “88,012 subjects.” When they trimmed the numbers down (probably to get rid of results they didn’t like), they were only left with 283 “regular users” of ivermectin. It also wasn’t randomized, and the results can be explained by things other than the treatments: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2023.08.10.23293924v1 Oh and the authors were funded by an ivermectin manufacturer…
  8. It wasn’t a spladle. I believe Rock Harrison even called that out on the broadcast
  9. How can you say this impacts their first “year” but then bring up Mark Hall who won NCAA’s as a true freshman?
  10. I’m not sure who wrote the paragraph but the Starocci quotes were from him being interviewed
  11. I searched “Suloev Stretch” on x and all the results are guys trying to use it as a submission in MMA fights. Is this legal? Should it have been stopped sooner for PD? If not, should he have gotten NF swipes? I could see the argument for no NF, although I’m shocked the Stanford coaching staff didn’t argue harder for them.
  12. They need a lawyer? @VakAttack? Or maybe that guy from BWI that posted the YouTube videos of the Willie trials?
  13. Pretty sure there isn’t much effort being made because there doesn’t seem like much can be done, and that the decision wasn’t really related to wrestling
  14. St Clair has a lot of tweets that now look bad in hindsight. Like saying men should be able to opt out of child support, wonder if she still believes that one. It’s also looking like she may have been the one that leaked the story since he wasn’t responding to her.
  15. What’s a regular season conference champion? That can’t exist in a conference like the B10 where they don’t wrestle everyone. And even in the small conferences you probably can’t consider anyone a “regular season conference champion” unless they actually wrestled all the other teams’ starters
  16. Well now you’re talking at-larges, which is different than allocations. I agree with you that the system really just punishes the fringe qualifiers, but I’m not sure there’s a better way, I wouldn’t do it just based off rankings.
  17. I think he wrestles, he’s going to have to wrestle him in a few weeks anyway, so not going to make too much difference either way.
  18. To be honest I haven’t done the math I just feel like Iowa has more risk, I have a bad feeling about Teemer especially. But I’ll do it now, and admittedly I’m not a pro at estimating scores by placement: Cruz R16 - 2 Ayala 3rd - 17 141 0 Parco 3rd - 17 Teemer semi slide to 6th - 10 Caliendo 2nd - 20 174 8th - 6 Arnold R12 - 4 Buchanan 2nd - 20 Kueter 8th - 6 Total 102 Spratley 3rd - 16 133 1-2 - 1 Jamison R12 - 4 Young R16 - 2 Fish R12 - 4 Amine 5th - 10 Hamiti 2nd (beats a not 100% O’Toole) - 21 Plott 3rd - 16 Surber 7th - 8 Hendrickson 3rd - 21 Total 103
  19. I think he’s going to be really good. But I also think (and thought) that he needs to transfer if he wants to start before he’s like a senior
  20. Tell me you’ve never worked a corporate job without telling me you’ve never worked a corporate job. Almost every meeting has people in them that aren’t needed.
  21. It’s a whataboutism. You haven’t shown that leftists claimed Hunter Biden was needed in the meetings and are instead trying to change the subject
  22. Did Hunter get an Executive order about a Department he was in charge of? https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/establishing-and-implementing-the-presidents-department-of-government-efficiency/
