  1. Good point, but maybe Gaitan knew the score? If just listening to coaches why would he attempt a turn?
  2. To be fair Gaitan did come close to turning him. Gaitan getting a turn there probably a similar chance as another TD given the little time left
  3. Well you need control beyond reaction time so no TD, but basically yes
  4. I was surprised he didn't challenge in the moment, but looked like the correct call after rewatching
  5. Which brings up the question, how long is "reaction time" anyway? I think Chittum had "control" as the clock went to zero, but not enough time for reaction time
  6. Not gifted, but just squeaked by opponents they should have been pushing for bonus against
  7. No, IMO after re-watching due to reaction time
  8. Wasn’t Voinovich pretty highly ranked out of HS? Lost to Echemendia in Fargo finals IIRC
  9. He could have, I guess they made the strategic decision to get the “guaranteed” 1, which honestly kinda backfired with the 2 stall calls
  10. Yes, he was the first. Interestingly he was committed to ISU initially before going to tOSU. I was considering Chittum the second but I guess he never enrolled at Iowa.
  11. Hand touch is no longer a rule
  12. It could have been if Woods had gotten on top in regulation…
  13. Just rewatched end of 141. I actually think that was a good non-call. Woods did a great job keeping his hand off the mat
  14. And 2nd for ISU, although technically I guess Chittum doesn’t count
  15. Traded right jabs there a bit
  16. Also a little surprised the officials didn’t do their own review there. Swiderski with the early TD. Up 3-1
  17. Agree
  18. Why did they stop it with 1 second? Edit: nvm I guess just bad clock work
  19. Wow
  20. Kennedy in at 174. Swafford not listed at all
  21. Nick? He’s not even listed on their roster or wrestlestat, was this his first career tournament?
  22. They mentioned this on FRL... This seems like a lower likely floor, but also lower likely ceiling. They're probably expecting 5 or 6 from Feldkamp at 184, with Broderson having a shot to win at 197. But in the bump scenario they're probably maxing out at 6 between the 2 weights. Edit: And Naakgteboren isn't even a sure thing against Swafford...
  23. Is it confirmed that Kennedy’s suspension is over? I’ve also seen rumblings that he was injured but no idea if true?
  24. Ferrari lets him stands up then drops down and shoots him out of bounds a few times, I could see it. But I think Brooks takes him down earlier in the match
