  1. Why do you think there will be a "game" if there is no exceptions? Step out first, other guy gets a point. I know people are afraid "it will turn to sumo" but that doesn't seem to be the case except if your name is Thomas Gilman.
  2. Yes they are absolutely gaming the grounded rule, which is why I think they should get rid of it. I thought you were saying they were gaming the stepout rule
  3. What the heck happened? Gassed out then hurt himself? Shades of Musukaev there
  4. I’d have to think that conversation was had before yesterday, and I’d guess he was not planning to retire if he lost, so my assumption is that Slay just didn’t want him to do that in the heat of the moment
  5. How does one “game” the step out? I would think just getting rid of grounded all together would help.
  6. Why won’t Chance or Zahid medal? Didn’t Chance beat someone from Iran or something? And don’t a lot of the international guys have similar gas tank issues as Zahid?
  7. Agree. I will say it seemed strange seeing Hall in his corner. Can’t imagine it’s very often that you see a guy being coached by someone like 8 years younger than them
  8. They showed him sitting there untying them, but they didn’t show his feet when he walked off. Weirdly they didn’t really comment on that possibility. I don’t think he makes the team either way, but I’m thinking he goes up to 86 next year.
  9. Didn’t Flo interview him yesterday?
  10. Doesn’t an average full length match take like 8-10 minutes with replay reviews etc? Honestly doesn’t seem so bad unless you get a bunch of quick techs
  11. Even Micah Parsons doesn’t wanna pay
  12. Didn’t @jross do the same with the same result?
  13. I think guys like Gable Steveson, Kyle Snyder and Jordan Burroughs would disagree with this. If you are better on your feet and can get out from bottom, it’s hard to lose.
  14. Banning live wrestling at practices
  15. Similar to the people saying "only make the first TD 3 points," that would be way too complicated for people to understand, potentially even refs.
  16. And apparently that degree includes a class on “the history of Cornell” according to Yianni
  17. This one was a bit of an eye roll…he’s describing the same situation as can happen now…
  18. It’s already the rule in HS…
  19. I can’t tell if this conversation is sarcasm, but here’s one from 2002 https://wsucougars.com/sports/2002/3/8/207882724.aspx
  20. add this guy to the best names thread
  21. Try a different device...you may have already read your "limit"
  22. When talking about Cornell specifically, I think the main complaint is about their advantage over other Ivies. I personally don't really have an issue with Cornell, but I think this is just yet another example of exploiting the gray area around RTC rules.
  23. Depends who's defining "bigger issue," but I know some have complained that it is apparently much easier to get into Cornell as a transfer student than as a traditional high school graduate. Not sure if this differs at all from other Ivies.
  24. I was more interpreting the keycard discussion as only wrestlers had access and not all students, but not really sure.
