  1. wouldn't the stepout only be in neutral?
  2. Also, Fix is STILL #1 on wrestlestat...
  3. Will he go down to 125 next year? Probably his best chance of winning right? Or does he take another Olympic RS and stay for year 8?
  4. But if he goes undefeated his last 4 years you could argue he should be equal to Cael
  5. I can’t tell if this is a troll post mocking the similar thread from 2021
  6. I agreed with the no 2 here: The Perrine/Mocco one was probably more questionable
  7. Yeah Ohio U had I think 3 guys in a short span lose heartbreakers that would’ve been upsets, I think a couple of which involved close calls/challenges. Surprised there wasn’t any discussion in the session thread on the Peyton Mocco/Perrine no takedown call. That one was awfully close. Curious to see if even Askren’s homerness would’ve thought that was a takedown, he seems to lean towards saying the close ones should be takedowns.
  8. I assume this isn’t sarcasm, but I could see some saying that’s evidence of the Socon’s weakness. But he had a brutal draw, with Cardinale as a 28 seed and then catching DeAugustino on the backside
  9. Hard to tell from still photos, the first one doesn’t look great but I don’t think the rest look bad. Got video?
  10. Maybe a better question would be what 2 wrestlers whose weights add up to 285 could beat Parris? Maybe RBY and Yianni?
  11. And it would’ve been 4x if he didn’t absolutely implode against Delvecchio
  12. Jimmy troll thread… He wasn’t beating RBY in 2021 or 2022. He probably never beats Fix either, and never beat Micic after beating him the first time while at Drexel. He wasn’t going to win as a true freshman. His best shot would’ve been this year at 141 if he had redshirted, but then Iowa probably doesn’t have Woods.
  13. 149. Could see Verk stealing a few one point matches, Van Ness making a run to the semis at least and then you have Gomez as the 15 seed
  14. What is the article about?
  15. Correct, that is what happened here unless you consider Ben Askren to be media, and even he seems to be learning. He said “can I talk about the rumor I just heard” and Pyles said no
  16. It was stopping the spreading of unsubstantiated rumors
  17. If by "Flo" you mean Askren... Askren wanted to talk about it but Pyles said it wasn't appropriate.
  18. Honestly my first thought was a different kind of cheating but like I said was I was confused...I know there was some sort of rumor involving Mastro and a Ferarri's GF and/or sister...
  19. I was confused by that as well. Weren't they talking about Oklahoma State just prior?
  20. Well yeah in 2018 and 2019 he had past and future national champs in there, those brackets were probably tougher than most (at any weight). I’ve always been one to defend against the argument that 125 has been “weak” outside of Lee (and Suriano last year) the past few years, but every weight was weaker than it should have been in 2021 because the Ivys could not participate, 125 a little moreso because likely 2 of the top 3 were Ivy. The addition of Glory alone arguably makes this year’s 125 field better than 2021.
  21. How could this be the lightest competition he’s faced when the guy he beat in the finals in 2021 is seeded 10th?
  22. I don't think the smaller conference guys were always necessarily "rewarded"... For example, Murin being seeded ahead of Millner despite fairly comparable resumes (and Millner beating him 8-1 at NCAA's last year). It honestly looks like Murin could have gotten it because of his injury default victory over Yahya, who had beaten Millner (and beat Murin in the dual).
