  1. I definitely don't remember him being a Hawkeye fan (other than the reverse jinx stuff he was doing). I think he's the same person, but just a gut feeling I guess
  2. I just took a look at the list of articles. I don’t see any from the last 2 weeks specifically about Iowa. I do see the blurb of “all eyes are on Iowa” from the mailbag thing but that’s about it. If you’re referring to earlier in the summer, they were among the top stories, with the transfers they got, Steveson rumors, the Ferraris, and gambling investigation.
  3. Welcome. When you refer to Iowa “coverage,” are you referring to the regular Intermat website, or this forum?
  4. I believe Minnow does currently live in the area where Sasso is from, so I’m guessing he has sources and it’s likely correct. If someone made that up that’s crazy messed up…
  5. Already getting to work
  6. Lol no. That’s $2,700 more a month on principal alone and $300K more down payment required for 20% unless the down payment is subsidized too, and that’s not counting likely higher insurance and taxes too. But I’d agree that cost of living probably isn’t the determining factor in his decision
  7. So many questions. Why is there a photo of a Hooters waitress but it was from a diner? No photo of actual waitress or wrestler in singlet? The receipt is from 4 years ago and the “lost a bet/next time table dance” is clearly photoshopped.
  8. The thing that stuck out to me about that interview was when he said something like “now that’s an AD I want to work for.” That to me sounded like a shot at Stanford AD Bernard Muir. I mean, how does that dude still have a job after the fiasco of cutting all those sports then bringing them back, AND the Varsity Blues scandal??
  9. I think they wanted to help both Oher, and their alma mater.
  10. IMO they may have been most motivated to get him to go to their alma mater of Ole Miss where they were boosters. They may not have known he would make the NFL but he was already rated as the #5 OL recruit in the country.
  11. The year he was hurt was the “free year.” Maybe if Josh Humphreys gets a medical then he might be able to…
  12. I don’t see Ayres going to CA…his daughter goes to Princeton
  13. Looks like SF State needs to update his bio. About all it says about his coaching record is he was 6-4 in his first season in 2017-2018

I mean that’s not saying much. From Scott stepping down to Koll being announced was exactly 2 weeks, and seems like maybe at most a week between Scott stepping down and Koll being offered it.
  15. I guess I was more just saying he only has 1 year left in general, I don't see why that would make much difference, he of course can already say he coached a national champ.
  16. I don't see why that would be a determining factor, this is Alirez's last year

Of course he’s going to say he’s staying now. Maybe it’s the truth, maybe not, we don’t really know. He probably stays at least for this year but I could certainly see him explore his options next year or even a couple years. I do imagine Koll will likely be honest with how long he plans to stick around. I did say in a different thread that Koll is probably one guy he shouldn’t be too mad about if he gets the job, and maybe he does stick around for awhile, but understand if he may feel a bit slighted too.
  18. I think some of the pushback is saying he can "talk about" them, he just can't "promote" them
  19. Good list. Nickerson is one I hadn't thought of but kinda makes sense. Speaking of UVa, do you think Garland would consider it? Although I guess he is a UVa alum...
  20. I have no idea. But I believe Kyle Snyder runs a Bible study group, so maybe
  21. No way I see Borelli going back to Stanford. How about Storniolo? Seems like something’s up in Evanston with all the transfers this year
  22. Wasn’t Stanford crazy about Covid stuff too though? I know Griffith complained about it
  23. So what happened at Cornell?

I wouldn't be so sure Coleman gets the HC job. I did initially think that was a foregone conclusion, but it sounds like he may have gotten a pay raise, and has family in the area, etc. It may be a good move for him even if he doesn't get the HC job...as long as the new coach wants to keep him of course if he doesn't get it.
