  1. Yeah, it will probably come down to 125. IMO the most likely teams to outscore them would be Oklahoma State if Fix and Spratley win and Davis doesn’t AA, and maybe Arizona State if Parco and Figueroa win.
  2. Just tried to slow down the ending. My guess is he just said “you know he was stalling” or something, but kinda odd that it seemed to be directed towards the OSU bench
  3. Great interview here (I know a little different since it’s longer than the B10 ones which were just short post match interviews): Thanks God, but acknowledges that God doesn’t care if he wins or loses.
  4. I know most of the talk for 197 is how good Hidlay has looked and if he has a shot against Brooks. But I wouldn’t completely rule out Beard beating him especially with the former teammate factor.
  5. Here are mine: Mesenbrink/O’Toole or Carr Brooks/Beard Mesenbrink/Hamiti 2 Kerk/Bastida Crookham/Fix Crookham/Vito 3 Haines/Shapiro Gomez/Lovett 3 Brooks/Hidlay whatever number this is Beard/Hidlay Vito/Bailey
  6. The quality win criteria for seeding is based on national qualifiers right? Interesting IMO that Vito has a few wins over some bubble guys that could impact his seeding if they don’t get at larges. One being Leiphart of F&M who earned an allocation but might not qualify. Also Kade Moore and Julian Farber.
  7. You sound triggered too
  8. It does seem like Brooks has learned to be a little more subtle than he was after NCAA’s last year and in this interview he did at least acknowledge that there was a wrestling match. What did he say at the very end though? “_____ forever”?
  9. Sounds like you’re the one that’s triggered
  10. Based on the matrix maybe, but he doesn’t deserve it because he sat out the Lehigh dual, and Crookham beat the returning champ twice. But I’d be OK with Fix 1 if Vito is 4 or 5.
  11. The official wording that could be argued about whether it happened is “no wrestling occurring”
  12. Brooks after NCAA’s last year was, or are we putting that in a different category? (I would)
  13. I laughed when Ragusin asked Bormet to challenge and he pretty much said he wasn’t going to risk it when you’re getting killed
  14. Davis’s was more just awkward than bad IMO. He also got some of the worst questions, like asking if he thought him winning helped his teammates. I have heard other PSU wrestlers (Bartlett for example) say stuff like they don’t even watch their teammates that are before them.
  15. He’s not saying they should be censored, just that he doesn’t like it. 2 very different things
  16. But worse than Orine who has a conference title and I believe more quality wins
  17. Good list, but Davis definitely should be above Kerk. How do you only give him a 1 for humility?
  18. I also would guess Fix wins the matrix over Crookham, which would be a travesty (as would Crookham and Vito being on the same side) since Fix didn’t wrestle the dual.
  19. Is this your projection based on the formula? I don’t see how Vito gets the 3 with only 13 wins and no conference championship
  20. No one that will share it that I’ve seen. I think back is what I’ve seen speculated, plus if he may have injured his knee against Crookham. Although to be fair it’s probably the Ivy League’s fault that he didn’t ORS this year.
  21. Those making that argument should also say Vito wrestling this NCAA season is potentially hurting our international team as well, correct?
  22. Yes, that kinda crossed the line. But he had the right to say it. The biggest problem with that was the NCAA wrestling Twitter account (it was still called twitter then @ionel) tweeted it out, even though they didn’t tweet out all the post match interviews. That even drew the ire of the likes of Ariel Helwani
  23. Yeah, if anything I think there’s a better chance Cael benches him (assuming he was not given permission to leave, which we don’t know) than he chooses not to wrestle. Still probably less than 1% though.
  24. Suriano was in the bracket during his PSU year…
  25. At least he translated this to wrestling, I’ll give that a pass. The Kerk one was super weird. I said in the B10 thread he sounded like he was in a cult and Aaron Brooks is the leader. I’m not crazy about them telling us about their religion either, but with how common it is among the top guys, clearly it’s working for them.
