Davis has a better resume than Barnett for sure. 2 losses and his only good win is Flynn. Davis and Stanich’s are comparable IMO. Stanich’s wins are slightly better (Barnett, Flynn, Ungar), but has a loss. Putting Ramos 1 is really just giving him credit for last year.

So he gets another good win tonight, although I just noticed Flo actually had DeAugustino down at 17 (lower than Kaylor), but Intermat had him at 5. The only matches Michigan really has much chance to flip would IMO be 133, 165, 157 in that order. But they could also lose 125. Long story short they should “only” need to win 2 of those 4 to cover a 22 point spread if no Gomez. But bonus could also throw it off too

Should still be a lot next year and a decent amount even the year after. Next year will be the last for guys who were redshirt freshmen in 2021 (like Starocci if he comes back) or true freshmen in 2021 who may not end up using a redshirt (like O’Toole assuming he comes back and doesn’t redshirt next year). But if there were true freshmen that wrestled in 2021 and redshirted later, they will also have the 2026 season for their 5th tournament. Might still be a couple even after that if there are regular redshirts + Olympic/medicals

Lol I’m no Iowa fan but this is silly. They have arguably the best atmosphere to wrestle in, and in a state where people actually care about wrestling. New facilities coming Say what you want about the Brands bros but they know how to coach and can also churn out successful adults (with some exceptions) It’s a far cry from the NLWC but HWC does have some solid guys, most notably Spencer Lee of course
